Its so ironic the way this whole atheism thing works. They reject God in whose image and likeness they are made. Its like a glove being made in the image of a hand and telling the hand that they are going to get filled up with sand or water or even a foot...
The only things that will satisfy an atheist is God. The very One they are running from is the very One that will cure them from their restlessness and lack of real peace. They are like that kid in front the ice cream parlour. wanting it.. walking around it... but never stepping foot into the door to get the free ice cream..
God made man with a spirit deep within him. God Himself is Spirit and this spirit deep in man cries out to be filled with God AS LIFE. The real life .. the Life that the Son Gives us. He said. in john 10 10.. I have come that they might have life and that they might have it more abundantly.
Until our atheist friends open up their mouths and call upon the Name of Jesus... they will never know the real meaning of the human life. The human life is not just to live in a vain way. To talk nonesense and do what we please. Or to just merely exist doing a job having a spouse.. having a house..or all the other " things" ...
Deep in the human life is the CRY and the NEED for the Divine Life to come IN... TO satisfy and uplift this human life to what it is supposed to be.
The human life is the shell .. but the divine life that we are born of when we Call upon and believe into the Lord is the substance.
When that Glove is Filled with the Hand it becomes animated.. it MATCHES and truly expresses the hand for what it was MEANT to express
Satan would fill us with the sand and the water and even a foot and make us " settle"
Defrauding and usurping us with His lies and Deceit to steal kill and destroy.. So that we miss our TRUE and real purpose in being created.
We are HERE TO EXPRESS AND CONTAIN GOD
So our atheist friends can be funny or rude or snide in their remarks.. or even ugly.. THAT IS SATAN"S DEFRAUDING OF THEM.
But they have friends on here who truly care for them. Those that .inspite of the fact that they say all the things they do will STILL pray for them to be rescued out of this darkness and to be transferred into the Kingdom of the Son of God's love
May the Lord be rich in mercy and satisfy so many with Himself.
In Christ

They do so because they are at a complete loss to find out what real life is all about. They wish they could answer questions like "How was this all started", "What is my purpose in life", and "Is there an afterlife". But ultimately, they know these questions are beyond the scope of what atheists can reasonably answer. They acuse others of their faults because they find no comfort even in their own strengths.
Then again, they have little reason to believe those who claim to know God, because they so poorly represent Him. One can hardly excuse the "church" from being one of the more problematic obstructions to people actually finding God.
Still though, people do hunger for real truth, a real answer for the eternal kinds of questions.
In the end, people who say they believe in God and people who demand that there is no Creator will be faced with this reality-
"The God who made the world and everything in it is the Lord of heaven and earth and does not live in temples built by hands. And he is not served by human hands, as if he needed anything, because he himself gives all men life and breath and everything else. From one man he made every nation of men, that they should inhabit the whole earth; and he determined the times set for them and the exact places where they should live. God did this so that men would seek him and perhaps reach out for him and find him, though he is not far from each one of us."
At some point people will come to realize that we aren't the center of the universe. But at the same time, that the God Who is the center has called us His friends and has even used the created universe to testify of His existance. You can deny people with words all you want, but at some point, the whole universe is testifying against those who say there is no Creator. No one has an excuse. Not atheists or Christians alike. As it says-
"For since the creation of the world God's invisible qualities—his eternal power and divine nature—have been clearly seen, being understood from what has been made, so that men are without excuse."

Good afternoon Mr.Gilbert! We atheists are actually thirsting for knowledge about anything and everything. It's part of our desire for a rich and full life experience. Please do me a favor and watch this video I just saw this morning. It's 26 minutes long and is a documentary of the paralells between the life of Jesus and several other religious figures that pre-date him. Most christians I would not bother directing this information to, but I respect you as an intelligent person. And I hope you find this as fascinateing as I did.

I never knew my heart could cry! Wow, I was actually hungry for some Famous Dave's bar-b-que spareribs, but now that I think about it, some slow dried-out god flesh and a glass of blood wine does sound rather UNappetizing. I think I'll stick with traditional soul food. It tastes better and is more filling.

Why do you assume that's true? It's only a belief on your part and your beliefs are not necessarily true. But that seems to be the hallmark of people like you. You believe something; then you make the leap from "I believe it" to "that means it's true" with no evidence at all for your conclusion.

What I really thirst for is a giant mug of beer. Unfortunately, my stomach hasn't been able to handle the alcohol for a long while. My heart cries for that.

Personally I hunger and thirst for a born-again Christian who understands and can use 7th grade grammar.
P.S. It's 'their hearts', not 'their heart'.
