Many religious folks are saying the OT laws are null and void. Many others say they still stand. Which is it? You can't pick and choose certain OT laws to validate and others to disregard. If OT laws are to be disregarded, the commandments go with them. If the commandments are to be accepted than all other OT laws are accepted as well. So which is it?

1) regarding priests not marrying, and no-meat on fridays:

1 Timothy 4
1The Spirit clearly says that in later times some will abandon the faith and follow deceiving spirits and things taught by demons. 2Such teachings come through hypocritical liars, whose consciences have been seared as with a hot iron. 3They forbid people to marry and order them to abstain from certain foods, which God created to be received with thanksgiving by those who believe and who know the truth.

2) regarding no bowing down to any CARVED IMAGE (either mary or saints):

EXODUS 20:
4 "You shall not make for yourself an idol in the form of anything in heaven above or on the earth beneath or in the waters below. 5 You shall not bow down to them or worship them; for I, the LORD your God, am a jealous God, punishing the children for the sin of the fathers to the third and fourth generation of those who hate me..

when ever i walk somewhere with someone, if there are streetlights they all go out when i pass under them. Sometimes i get a weird feeling and tell my friends its time to leave, thats usually right before something really bad happens.
I used to work at Disneyland and during the times that I would go in my free time, the rides would break with me on them or i would be the next person in line!!! My house is creepy!!! you can see black things floating up and down the hall at night.
do just really have bad luck? or is it something else.

No I do not believe in ghosts or wicca or whatever else you wanna call it.

I know you will say the Bible has been altered, tampered and corrupted. But why do you say in Sura 5,68: “Say, O People of the Book [Jews and Christians] Ye have no ground to stand upon unless you stand fast by the Law, the Gospel, and all the revelation that has come to you from the Lord.”

Also in Sura (chapter) 5,44 it says: “It was We [Allah] who revealed the Law to Moses: therein was guidance and light.” It goes on to say, “And in their footsteps We sent Jesus the son of Mary, confirming the Law that had come before him. We sent him the Gospel: therein was guidance and light” (v. 46).

So how can you say the Bible has been altered, tampered and corrupted when the Quran itself acknowledges the authenticity of the Bible? What factual evidence can you show that the Bible has been altered, tampered and corrupted?

OK so I will say up front I believe in a GOd and also that I believe in the Theory of Evolution (it may not be perfect but best idea we got right now as I see it).

Many Creationists are telling me I am wrong and Creationsim is correct. SO now's your chance...prove it to me.

Prove right now or provide me with proof (and not these crapopy sites I need to register with to get booklets and stuff)...real, solid evidence proving Creationsim is the way to go.

I do not want to see anything about Evolution...I am not asking you to disprove something but to prove another idea. If I see people pointing out flaws in Evolution as their argument I will report them as not an answer to my question.

My ear is willing and ready and to be honest I am excited, hoping for some real good info

....If you agree that someone should be dead, isn't that a sin? Even the thought of commiting the crime, counts. right? (if you support it, it would be like you're supporting to kill someone)So i was just wondering.

do you believe that everyone who was baptized before reaching that age will be condemned after reaching that age? if not why even bother getting baptized?

Example: Martin Luther, one of the leaders of the Reformation, was baptized as an infant, what fate shall befall him?

it seems like white people cant be proud to be white without seeming racist. but not all white people are racist: i'm not, and during slave times, my ancestors were in Ireland, so my family never held slaves...so does that mean my white pride isn't founded in racism and is therefore ok? why cant there be white pride without racism?

to invalidate science? For example...

I don't like evolution, therefore genetic biology is invalid?

I don't like the big bang, therefore astronomy is invalid?

I don't like radiometric dating, therefore physics is invalid?

The problem with dismissing a particular theory is that often times, many other things you accept in life rely on the same exact science. It's irrational to accept the science that enables electricity to be generated by a nuclear reaction and not accept radiometric dating which is a function of the same exact principles. Can both technologies be used improperly? Of course. One gives us a false date, and the other gives us Chernobyl.

Once mastered, critical thinking requires no more effort than employing scripture, but it makes you orders of magnitude more effective in a debate, so my question is, why don't you use it? It would only help level the playing field.

(and we'd drink a lot less.)

I've been married 15 years. We have a wonderful 14 yr old son. My husband works full-time. I am retired and work part-time. My husband has always expected me to pay the mortgage and all of the grocery bills. He does not contribute towards paying for our son's shoes, clothes, coats, school supplies, hobbies, etc. My husband pays the cable, the heat and electric, and the car insurance. He uses much of his money to gamble with. I have always been very resentful about our unevenly divided expenses, but my husband will not discuss it with me. He spends as little time as possible with our son, and our son feels very unloved by him. I stay with my husband because our son is so afraid that if his dad is not living in our home, he will not see him. Unfortunately, this could very well be the case, since my husband is very self-centered and has never really taken on the true role of being "dad". How would you handle this situation if you were me?
