That includes almost every Christian, except for those who were converts, from the first century AD until the Reformation since Roman Catholicism and Eastern Orthodoxy were the primary denominations.

The act of baptism does not save anyone, nor condemn them.

What saves a person is belief in Jesus Christ as their personal Lord and savior. That he died and was resurrected to pay our sin debt. That we die to ourselves and live for him.

Once you truely believe this, you have been "born again" of the spirit of Jesus Christ. You will be wanting and needing to live for him and die to yourself on a continual basis.

Now, for those who died before Jesus Christ paid our sin debt. Those whom believed that their Redeemer was coming one day to redeem them are declared righteous according to the bible.

Abraham was declared righteous, Lot was declared righteous and so on. They all died before seeing the redeemer come.

Of course not. Water baptism is a ritual or a sacrament that is supposed to symbolize a spiritual truth that has already taken place when a person is born again by the Holy Spirit.

Romans 6:3 Do you not know that all of us who have been baptized into Christ Jesus were baptized into his death? 4 We were buried therefore with him by baptism into death, in order that, just as Christ was raised from the dead by the glory of the Father, we too might walk in newness of life. 5 For if we have been united with him in a death like his, we shall certainly be united with him in a resurrection like his.

1 Corinthians 12:13 For in one Spirit we were all baptized into one body--Jews or Greeks, slaves or free--and all were made to drink of one Spirit.

The only people who might go to Hell who were baptized as infants are those people who thought later on that since they were baptized as an infrant they had been given a supernatural "get out of jail free" card and so they never repented of thier sins and trusted in Jesus for their salvation.

absolutely not. I believe those that were baptized as an infant are the ones that really have a fighting chance in this world today. They have a conscience. It may be seriously distorted but, it is there.

Condemned to what, you aren't one of those born again fools who believes baptism only works after a certain age, are you?

Having your baby or small child baptized is more a statement of the parents intentions for their child.

You need to be of an age to freely make a decision to accept Christ for yourself.... and this requires its own Baptism.

God Bless you.

No, it tells you in the Bible that everyone should be baptized in order to get to heaven. Of course, you have to live a decent life and live according to the Ten Commandments.

A ludicrous notion. What people say is that baptism doesn't save but you have to do works to prove your worth. It is for God to decide in the end. I don't know exactly your point so I hope this helps.

You are baptised for the forgiveness of sins. What has a little baby done to sin?......nothing

You aren't baptised until the age of accountabilty......when you know moral right from wrong.

If you were baptised as a baby.........IMO.....it doesn't do anything because you hadn;'t sinned......but as you get older, you need to be forgiven.

So.....you tell me

Would you chance it?

NO, because the children has no idea of what is happening. Its not their decision, they have no choice, so they can't be condemned.

I don't pass condemnation on anyone and I think anyone who does is rather silly, not to mention a megalomaniac.
