Okay . . . *sigh* . . . for those who don't actually READ this section, just respond to ? in it:

Heathen = believer in the Norse pantheon and follower of a pre-exian Germanic folk religion. 'Kay? That's WHY it's grouped with PAGANS and WICCANS.

Know what you know, don't know what you don't know.

sure, I question my ideals. it truly is how I have been given to the place i'm now spiritually and it truly is served me nicely. as quickly as I even have questions, I seek for straightforward solutions. i do no longer in basic terms seek for the respond which will make me sense greater suitable: that negates the area of thinking. thinking is what led me to bypass away Christianity after long debate. in case you nevertheless question your pagan ideals and can't discover reason to have faith in pagan gods, then possibly your direction does not lie interior of paganism. On yet another observe, please give up telling human beings you're of the Gardnerian custom. it incredibly is truly an initiatiory custom basically. you may desire to be knowledgeable and initated by ability of a Gardnerian instructor. there is truly no such ingredient as "self-initiation" as a Gardnerian. i do no longer know why you may call your self that, regardless of the indisputable fact that it initiatives that photograph which you're a fraud. you're truly no longer a self-initiated Gardnerian. there is no longer something incorrect with being a non-initiated, non custom-based Wiccan. there is fairly some issues incorrect with claiming labels you haven't any longer earned. you % to bolster your faith? Be straightforward approximately it.

Pagan = multiple dieties that can be appealed to, and one's ability to exert control via sympathetic magick.
But one principle that I believe underlies all pagan and/or heathen beliefs is a sense of fairness, not imposing your beliefs upon others nor accepting theirs to be imposed upon you.

This is really tough for me because my beliefs are just mine. I guess for me I'd say that there is truth in everything. Maybe not the full truth but some truth.

I think it is kind of strange you would include heathens in this question, but the reason i can't possible believe in Christianity is because I cannot accept their god. I believe that if there is a god he would be changing and loving of us for all our mistakes and differences. I cannot believe that he would be unchanging and such a bigot. Hell seems the most ludicrous idea to me. I can't imagine a god who would judge me for just questioning life and trying to find the truth.
So that idea is what shapes my views.

equality. i bow to no man, i bow to no god. the gods do not ask that i bow to them, rather learn to stand, and fight, for myself.
to quote a pop song: "I'd rather rescue myself"
it is this equality, this feeling that i have to bow to no one that allowed me to grow. to flourish. before i was always so afraid of stepping on toes, of insulting the wrong person that was 'above' me. when i came to the heathen faith i learned i didn't have to fear my own strength or will, and that i could actually live without the fear of some god with a newspaper standing over my shoulder waiting for me to screw up.
