Remember God is not "Santa Claus." We have to ask and pray in His will. He knows what is best for us.

Even if you or I copy an original, the mistakes are minimal in each copy and you can still understand the context and meaning.

Don't forget about the Dead Sea Scrolls! These ancient manuscripts were found in caves near the northwestern shore of the Dead Sea. The Scrolls have been called the greatest manuscripts discovery of modern times. They include all the books of the Old Testament except Esther.

Wow a preponderance! You don't say? Quotations from Church fathers and from the Bible is not evidence supporting the Bible. Evidence supporting the Bible would be something like discovery of the Ark of Triumph. and Indiana Jones don't count. Or some documentation other than the bible written during the time of Biblical events supporting them. None exist. Why because the Bible is a fantasy. Quit living in denial.

The bible is true because it says so. Hah.

Try this verse on for size.

Matt. 21:21 Ask & ye shall receive - Well, let's see the preponderance of evidence on this one. Thousands prayed to be spared the wrath of Hurricane Katrina, what happened? Thousands of homes destroyed, over one thousand dead. Oh yeah, and another storm followed.

I await the apologetics, I am sure you'll have some excuse why even though the bible says that what you pray in the name of god, you will be granted, god chose to let these people's lives be destroyed.

either

a. He's not all powerful (unable to prevent the tragedy)
b. He's not all loving (he was able to prevent it, but chose not to.
c. He doesn't exist.

take a little quiz on your "preponderance" of evidence claim

Do you really want to know how many copies of Harry Potter books are prepondering around out there? How about Mormon literature? Dr. Seuss? I guess you have to include the DaVinci Code in support of the Bible, too, though...

Absolutely the bible exists. It was absolutely written by men. Then it was altered, twisted, added to and deleted from by more men. The bible is complete fiction. Invented by men who desired to control the masses through fear of an imaginary place and collect their money.

There is plenty of evidence that some of the places decribed in the Illiad were real, but that doesn't mean there really is an Aphrodite.

Do you know there are tens of millions of copies of Harry Potter out there? All complete and 100% in agreement with each other?

Therefore, Harry Potter must really exist.

All "evidence" supporting the Bible is opinion, sourced directly from the Bible, or hearsay which is inadmissible as evidence.
