Kay, here they are...

I have quoted very violent and rather nasty Bible passages/verses in the past, and Christians always tell me they are obsolete because they are from the Old Testament. But don't we follow the Ten Commandments from the Old Testament? Isn't the verse condemning homosexuals (many Christians use that one) also in the old Testament?

1. So why is the Old Testament obsolete? Remember that Jesus said He was NOT here to abolish the Old Law (Old Testament) but to uphold it.

2. And if it is "obsolete", why do we still live by and use verses from it?

3. If the Old Testament in NOT obsolete in your opinion, how do you reconcile your faith to it, when it contains many seemingly violent and bigoted verses? (For example, it is okay to rape a woman as long as you pay her father and marry her. Also, you should "stone to death" rebellious teens, among MANY others)

4. If God is a loving God, why was he so wrathful and violent in the old Testament? What changed?

Jesus' divinity as god/lord, does not matter at all....

Is that how the christian sect determines whether or not a religion is christian?

Bible is a lot of malarkey, and some people would call me an atheist, even though I didn't say one word against God or Jesus.
Why can't we tell the truth, without being called an atheist?

I used to go to the "meetings", and they would always say if a former member talked bad about the religion, it was unforgivable by god, and that these people where called apostates. Doesn't anyone else think that this is facist? Don't we all have the freedom to express our opinions on any matter we so choose to discuss?

i think im going crazy. i think im a lesbian, no i KNOW im lesbian, but im scared to tell. im sooo paranoid about ppl finding out. i always dream about girls, getting intimate. i want to sleep with them. its just that i feel guilt from God that im wrong for this. how do i stop this? it makes me want to kill myself!

Who would you pick.

Mine would be Jesus and Socrates. obviously they had different languages and only one of them definately existed, but thats the fun in hypothetical.

So assuming they could understand eachover, and you could understand both, who would you want to listen to debate.

Note: I know Socrates, was a Phyolosopher but he was very spiritual in a manner.

If so, i would like to know how you feel about illnesses, such as cancer or diabeties or epilepsy? Do you believe this is your god working? Do you believe these people get ill because they deserve it?

Think long and hard before you answer, because this word would be used to ask all questions, answer all questions, portray your emotions, ect.

How many of you think your going to heaven and can prove to me using the bible that we are going to heaven? Not many people can. But i can prove to you that Those doing god's will will be on a paradise earth. Acts 24:15 says there is going to be a ressurection. Luke 23:43 says "And he said to him: “Truly I tell you today, You will be with me in Paradise.” Also Matthew 5:5 says “Happy are the mild-tempered ones, since they will inherit the earth." This has to be talking about thr future because the mild-tempered are not inheriting the earth. Psalms 67:6 says " The earth itself will certainly give its produce;God, our God, will bless us." This is also talking about the future. Psalms 37:10,11" And just a little while longer, and the wicked one will be no more;
And you will certainly give attention to his place, and he will not be. But the meek ones themselves will possess the earth,
And they will indeed find their exquisite delight in the abundance of peace." Email me for comments.

well muslims arent meant to kill ppl thats against their religion .they cant like murder ppl ....second why r ppl judgin muslims when they see all these terrorists that are muslim??

I mean from what I understand, they do not believe Jesus Christ is lord. They just believe he is a man, son of god, and a prophet.

Muslim's also believe Jesus was a prophet, same as Mormons and JW.. does that make them christian? I didn't think so.

So why do mormons, and jw's get grouped with christians?

I believe in God and Jesus Christ and yes I believe he died for me, and he's willing to pay the price for my sins. I believe in it and I have faith. But I hate going to church, I hate the preachy people that go to church that try to tell me about God and how I should live my life. I hate how people there act all "holy" on Sundays and become their "real" self on the weekdays. I find Christian music to be cheesy and lame and feel that some people overdo it a lot. I don't want to belong in the fellowship and I don't want priests to tell me about God...I want God to tell me about God. Yet in spite of all this, I still believe in Jesus and God and his good will for me. But I dislike going to church and I dislike the devout Christians. I think the majority of them are fake and they have no right to tell me how I should be. Will I go to heaven or hell?

Do Christians actually read the Bible, or do they just pick passages that sound good to them and read them? Ive come to find out that the Bible has some really disturbing, discusting, and really inhuman things in it. Im convinced that most Christians have never actually read the full bible, they just read passages that someone points them to and believes it. Im also convinced that if a Christian does the read the Bible in its entirety, they would no longer be worshiping God. So if you are a Christian please tell me whether you have actually read the bible or not. Thanks for your answers. :)

For me, dangerous idea wins hands down.

Here are some paraphrases from afterlife believers:

"I don't have to take care of the earth and my neighbors as if god wasn't here, because he IS here, and he will take care of it!"

"My children and their children etc.only matter while I am alive, because when I die, I don't have to worry about it anymore"

"I don't have believe deep down inside the validity/reality of an afterlife, because there are other options 1) Cave to herd animal mentality and just go with the flow 2) Use it to my or my master's advantage, helping to create fear in others so my master (or myself, if I am a master) can enslave them (i.e. work hard for me in this life and I promise the next one will be better!)"

I guess if you don't think its a dangerous idea to be in a state of enslavement, then you have to go with the cowardly answer 'status quo', no?

Seriously everyone from Harry Potter to Catholics to Bono.

Why do people seem so hatefull to everyone that is not them and with the same voice proclaim that they show the love of christ to the world.

Even Marylin Manson (who i think is nuts) has said that he really likes the message of christ but cant stand christians.
