It's in the book of Mark, somewhere. The one unforgiveable sin is to speak blasphemy against the Lord. It means that by saying that you don't believe in Him, you can't open up your hearts to accept Him so that He can forgive your sins. Your sins are unforgiveable until you stop denying His existence and start asking for forgiveness. Or something like that.

The Bible says only one sin is unforgivable—and that is the sin of refusing God's forgiveness. If we turn our backs on God and refuse to have anything to do with Him, then we will eventually pay the consequences for our stubbornness.

But it doesn't need to be this way! God is our loving Heavenly Father, and He yearns to forgive us and welcome us back to Himself. He loves us so much that He has done everything possible to win us back, by sending His only Son into the world to pay the price for our sins. We deserve to die for our sins—but when Christ died on the cross, all our sins were placed in Him, and He took the punishment we deserve. The Bible says, "God demonstrates his own love for us in this: While we were still sinners, Christ died for us" (Romans 5:8).

Jesus warned, "Whoever blasphemes against the Holy Spirit will never be forgiven; he is guilty of an eternal sin" (Mark 3:29). Blaspheming the Holy Spirit simply means saying that what the Holy Spirit says in the Scriptures about Christ is false. When we do that, we reject Christ and all He has done for us—and we are committing the only unforgivable sin.

May that not happen to you, or to anyone else reading this column. Instead, turn to Christ and by a simple prayer of faith invite Him into your life today. Jesus' promise is for you: "Whoever comes to me I will never drive away" (John 6:37).

Mark 3:29: But he that shall blaspheme against the Holy Ghost hath never forgiveness, but is in danger of eternal damnation.

The only unforgivable sin is rejecting God.

A sin can only be fogiven if the person is sorry for what they did. Taking a life is a sin, even if it is you own. So if you take your own life, there is no way you are able to repent becuase you are dead. Therefore the sin is unforgivable. I believe this is very fair. I feel like suicide is almost like cheating. Hard times are given to us so we can become stronger and work them out. Suicide is just like giving up.

Blasphemy/Rejection against God is the one unforgivable sin.
Suicide is NOT an automatic ticket downstairs.

I only partially agree. Suicide out of depression is the ultimate act of selfishness. Suicide for reasons of terminal illness should be allowed, we should not force another human to endure pain and suffering when all medical hope is lost. Allowing someone a dignified death is morally right.

One can ask forgiveness in advance for a sin they have already decided they are about to commit.

Mark 3: 22-30
"And the scribes who came down from Jerusalem said, 'He has Beelzebub,' and, 'By the ruler of the demons He casts out demons.' …'Assuredly, I [Jesus] say to you, all sins will be forgiven the sons of men, and whatever blasphemies they may utter; but he who blasphemes against the Holy Spirit never has forgiveness, but is subject to eternal condemnation;' because they said, 'He has an unclean spirit'"
