I believe in God and Jesus Christ and yes I believe he died for me, and he's willing to pay the price for my sins. I believe in it and I have faith. But I hate going to church, I hate the preachy people that go to church that try to tell me about God and how I should live my life. I hate how people there act all "holy" on Sundays and become their "real" self on the weekdays. I find Christian music to be cheesy and lame and feel that some people overdo it a lot. I don't want to belong in the fellowship and I don't want priests to tell me about God...I want God to tell me about God. Yet in spite of all this, I still believe in Jesus and God and his good will for me. But I dislike going to church and I dislike the devout Christians. I think the majority of them are fake and they have no right to tell me how I should be. Will I go to heaven or hell?

We cannot tell from only what you have written. But He does promise that He gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in Him should not perish, but have everlasting life.

But there is much in what you say.

I too felt strongly in similar ways when I was first converted and I don't think it is such a bad thing. There are benefits, and perhaps too, dangers.

You don't say whether you "live from every word that proceeds out of the mouth of God," or not.

To my understanding that would be critical, vital.

Living from and feeding on the Bible is God's appointed means and is surely of first importance.

That is what I sought and still seek.

As to the rest, well, God will lead you.

I will add, that a good Christian friend or brother is of great value and encouragement and strengthening, but take care that it is someone you can trust and who also desires to follow Christ rather than some church or institution.

Again the Lord can provide in this too.

Fare you well.

I can't tell you if your going to heaven or hell. I don't know. Only God knows if you are saved. There are a lot of people that are "fakes" as you called them, I have met way too many of them. And yes, they do exactly as you said, they go to church and act "holy" but then after Sunday they go home and act however they want.. I don't believe most of the people who do that are true christians. But there are some true, good christians out there. I can understand your frustration. Don't be discouraged. It might be the church your going to. But even the best of churches have "fakes". But you should go to church. Though from the sound of it you might consider finding a new one. It says in the Bible to "not forsake the assembling of the church". And you might have to look a LONG time to find the right one. I hope this has helped.

You just haven't found a good church yet. Keep looking. Follow your heart. Don't look to other Christians, Christian music, Christian books [except the Bible] - look to Jesus; and continue to pray and worship Jesus in spirit and in truth. Don't worry about Heaven or Hell, but be concerned about how you are going to serve the Lord while you're here on Earth. Seek and you will find.

If heaven and hell actually exist, you will go to heaven. Church is not required to be saved, worship of God is. Try to find some Christians that you agree with and get together regularly. That will be your "church". Online chats work well for this. And try not to paint all Christians with the same brush. I have heard a few that have similar ideas to you.

I hope this helps and that i do not sound like the people you talked about above and that you read this.

No one can answer this question for you but but God. I too felt this way before. From what i have learned my advice is to check out sevral churches don't just stick to one untill you've learned a little from all of them. As you do this pray to God to help you find the right church. (this happened to my family if you'd like i could give you the testimony )However you can't pray once in a while. God wants to have a constant relationship with you which is praying..If you walk with the lord and pray he will never forshake you and help you when you're in need.

If you don't like christian music there is more than one kind such as gospel just check them out if you have some time.

As for the people at church many of them come to church to pray to help them with their lives. The devil is always trying to bring those down who want to be with the Lord. Once he realizes that they are he tries harder to make them sin ( I hope this explains why people act differently when they are out of church. )

I am not saying there arn't fake people at chuch but their are fake people everywhere you go.

The bible says that prayer with many people is better than with one and tthat is one of the reasons we should go to church.

The way God talks to you is through the paster. one has to pray to God to help the paster give the right message.

Everything leads to prayer.

If you want scriptures about going to church or what i have said above i would be glad to give them to you. sorry this is so long. I encourage you to keep going to church.

Hope this helped Good luck!! :]

If you are a good person with a good heart and do things for the right reasons (whether be right or wrong to someone else) then yes you will go to heaven. I believe in god I have faith and I am very very spiritual but I never go to church I do not answer the door to the Jehovas witnesses because I do not want their views thrown at me. I am a good person I help people I am respectful, kind and compassionate and believe if we live our lives in this way then yes we will go to heaven.
Mean nasty people go to hell......

Of course, I don't have the authority to answer your question with certainty. I agree with much of what you say. I don't believe a person has to go to church to be right with God. Many Christians are a very poor example of Christianity and are a turn-off to non-Christians. Much Christian music is third rate. Humans will always disappoint you, even if they are sincere they will fall short of their ideals. I sense in what you have written that you may harbor resentment toward Christians in general. Often, resentment toward believers is a hidden resentment toward God and what he expects of us. Look within yourself and be certain you are sincere. No person on Earth can judge you, that is left to the Almighty.

You would not go to hell. I understand exactly where you are coming from. I I think that people are real cheesy when they go to church also. I believe that if you believe in the lord truely than he will save you from your sins. Just keep faith. God Bless All Who Believe
