The Chronicles of Narnia vs. The Lord of the Rings Trilogy vs. The Harry Potter movies

Why do a lot of Christians believe that it's perfectly okay to love the Chronicles of Narnia and The Lord of the Rings Trilogy, but believe that the Harry Potter series is the gateway to hell?

I don't get it. Don't they all have "mythical" creatures in them? Magic too? Witches, wizards, the whole shebang.... What's the difference?

Oh, and btw, before you start jumping down my throat about me making a generalization about ALL people of a religion, I didn't say ALL Christians, okay? I'm just asking a question based on about 15 other Christians that I personally know, and some things I have seen on here.

This is totally profound but TRUE, heard it many years ago, but the full implications only hit me the other day. Sheer Genius, and sadly missed. Bill doesn't go down well with a lot of Christian Folk(Right Wing) but for me he epitomises the whole Christian view on life, common sense, look through the traditions and see the essence of what life is and what it COULD be.

ok, so ive lost my spanish book. i have a test tomorrow , and i need to revise a letter about where ive been on holiday.

i know it is a lot to ask, but if there are any spanish writing/speaking people out there who are a bit bored and need a good deed for today i would greatly appreciate your help.

please could you translate into spanish for me..

last year i went on holiday to france with my friends and i visited the eiffel tower. i really enjoyed my stay and i will go back next year. the weather was very hot and i didnt like it that much. the food in france is delicious though and tastes very traditional. I normally go to europe on holiday but next year me and my family will go to africa, it will be something different.

The New York Catholic Catechism, under: Pope, says,

When it says thou shalt not take the lords name in vain WHAT exactly does that mean? As for rememeber the sabbath day, to my knowledge the sabath is saturday and the only religion i know that go to church on saturday are jews and sevenday advantist. So WHAT is the sabbath for a baptist, is it Sunday, since thats when they go to church? Also, though shalt not bear false witness against thy neighbor means WHAT exactly, does it mean do not lie on ur neighbor? and does it mean neighbor literally or any one u come into contact with?
