Why does this site have that automated censoring. Sweet jesus, Ive just tried to write the word a r s e and its been blanked out. Swearing is part of the english language whether you like it or not and its entrenched in our culture. Why do these big media companies feel the need to nanny us and protect us from real life. Another example - try writing a question in block capitals, it won't let you. Apparently this is rude. Whatever happened to freedom of speech and expression. Nothing punctuates a sentance like a good ****!

in the bible Moses parted the red sea, apparently this was a mistake made by the translator of the king james I bible, which should have read the sea of reeds, apparently it is documented that he admitted missing out an E. my point is we are led to believe in a great miracle that Moses parted a great ocean. yet having also read the Tora all he apparently done was find a path through a marsh, called the sea of reeds. having said how can we believe in legitmacy of the bible, this with many other errors. and its no good saying man wrote it, because if it was the word of God himself then I doubt it would be wrong?

I enjoyed the book. It touches on some teachings from the Bible. Do you think the book is meant figuratively or literally?

I believe in ghosts, but since I'm Christian, whenever my friends find out I believe in ghosts, they are stunned! I ask them if they believe in ghosts. They reply, "No, but I believe in angels, demons, and spirits!" I just get so annoyed. Just because it's not in the Bible doesn't mean it isn't real!!! In addition to that, I've had a few "supernatural" experiences.

So, do you believe in ghosts? If you do, are you Christian? If you don't believe in them, why not?

Honestly, LGBT people are the only segment of society that the culture at large allows ad hominem attacks upon. How many comedians have we heard that continue to bash us in the name of "comedy"? How many recording artists casually insult us without raising any eyebrows? How many politicians think nothing of declaring that our values do not compare favourably with the majority? The continued approval for this type of "culture" only shows that our culture is not valued the same as other cultures. LGBT culture is a culture that is stigmatized across the lines of all other cultures, and is still viewed as an acceptable object of derision by all.

Thoughts, please?

Why Christianity? I mean no where in the bible does it say to be Christian, Judaism and Islam were two of the earliest forms of "God" Worship so why did you choose Christianity, was it because your parents were Christian or what? And for that matter why stay in a religion that looks so bad to pagans and those not of the faith, i mean the bible says to worship the Lord right, well you don't have to do that by going to church, church is just a building, "God" is supposed to be everywhere, not just in a few thousand buildings.

If not, then why would we have to suffer the consequences of what "Adam and Eve" did? That's like punishing your daughter because of something her great grandfather did. Is it not?

note: This is coming from the premise that it's all true. I don't believe it is, but I'm going along for argument sake.

Don't they just feed each other, and make each other grow?

Is there really an important difference here?

I don't believe the Christian Bible, and can understand where most of the concepts of self-sacrifice, obedience, etc. would have come in handy for power over society when it was written. I'm not confused about the promise of a return, as it's just that - a promise; hope. I am confused, however, about the elaborate detail on things such as the Mark of the Beast. It seems as though it would have been easier to not write more than was necessary for their cause. Why is the description so detailed, and what was/is the social purpose of this "prediction"? Thanks!

When all I want to know about is what the bible is saying. It seems that the more questions I ask, the more they get angry. I once ask a man who was working at a church in Pacific Palisades, Ca. why they use the King James version of the bible? And he answered, in an angry tone. Because that is what we use!
Matthew 12:30 says that "he that does not gather with me scatters". He definitely pushed me away.
So, whats up with that? I have also been threatened with hell fire too. I thought it was God and his son who will do the judging? And who are these people who hand out small pamphlets. About pocket sized.
should'nt they clean themselves up before approaching me with Gods word. And more importantly, should'nt they learn to use the bible correctly so as to be understandable? Instead of just jumping around the scriptures like a machine gun fires bullets. RATT TAT TAT TAT TAT TAT TAT!!!
I do not want to listen to anyone who talks to me like that. MoredetailslaterasIreceiveanswers.

I know that I could have been aborted, but my birth mom chose life and placed me for abortion- she did not look at her pregnancy as a mistake, she chose to sacrifice her child to another couple, and not to death. I also have 2 adopted teenagers, and have personally met both of their birth moms- and I thank them every day, that they both chose life, even though a lot of people around them told them it would be better to abort. Anyone out there who knows that they may have been aborted, and want to share?
