Jeans are not business attire, casual or otherwise.
Take the opportunity to dress up.

Nice jeans sound nice, but they really aren't business casual are they?

It is my experience to always stay within the radar of the expected dress attire. If you dress up more, it's alright. But save the nice jeans for a different day. You may need them for a nice club on the weekend.

Dress up and have fun!

No. Every definition of business casual I have come across states that jeans are inappropriate.

I would normally say no, jeans are not business casual but a lot depends on where you live, and what the climate is, usually warm regions year round are more casual than others.

Granny here is going out on a limb. I should be thinking no, but in today's world I think nice jeans will be fine if worn with a shirt that has a collar and loafers instead of sneakers.

No, I would go with slacks and a button up shirt or polo shirt. No jeans.

I guess it's okay, if you pair them with a dressy blouse and/or blazer. Wear pumps instead of sandals to complete the smart casual look.
