Only at an "Asian Funeral" can you wear white. At a European funeral it is expected that a person wears black or a very dark colour.

Depends on the culture. In Buddhist cultures, the family usually wears white because it is the color for grieving. Judaism calls for conservative dress in dark colors to show respect. So, as you can see, you've asked an unanswerable question!
As for how appropriate it is to wear white to a funeral - In America, the tradition is to wear black. But since America is supposed to be representative of ALL cultures, I don't see a problem with white.
The whole idea behind a funeral is to pay your last respects to the person who has passed. If you believe this color choice reflects your respect of that person, then go for it!

Really you could wear any color you would want, but I guess it comes down to what is asked of you or what you are comfortable in. Black is a traditional color used to symbolize mourning. Some people have worn white to funerals instead--per the request of that person---usually people stick with darker colors like browns or greys--but you could wear something lively. If that person was full of life, why would you want to wear dark colors.....you know.

Depends on the culture and the ethnicity of the person's family who died. In the USA only black and Navy are widely considered appropriate.

Why not. I wore a spring suit to my mothers the other day.
But it might not be in good taste to wear white.

Please please please don't ever wear white to a funeral.
Only black or some other dark color.
Say your loved one died, would you want anyone wearing white?
Say they all decided to wear white?
Yikes!
Black is the color to wear to funerals.
