The wars in history which muslims were NOT involved are countless. Look at every continent - there were wars that had nothing to do with Islam or muslim.

Land was taken away from Red Indians - Aborigionies - Many countries in Africa - New Zealand (Maories) - The fight between the Boer and British in South Africa.

USA/ almost every continent

HOW ARE SOME OF YOU SO SUCESSFULLY BRAINWASHED INTO BELIEVING ISLAM IS ALL ABOUT WAR?

The false things you hear people say about Muhammed is way out of proportion......................or is it that when people want attention or are bored they just pick for argument.?

I could be wrong (yes, i'm sure some fanatics will say 'who are YOU to question God?') but I thought the purpose of punishment was to deter and reform.

Take prison for example. It acts as a deterent to commit crimes because people don't want to go there, and (hopefully) the people who do go there won't want to go back (reforming them). I DO know that this doesn't work on everyone.

So what about God's punishment of eternal torment in Hell? Ok, it may act as a deterent for people who believes the religion but God must know there are MILLIONS of people who don't (we all KNOW prison exists), so the deterent is not very strong. Plus there is absolutely NO reform. Apparently Hell is an ETERNAL punishment, so you can't come back after a good torturing and say 'wow I really don't wanna go back there so I'll be good from now on'.

So apart from the slight deterent, it seems to me (yes, i'm only a mere mortal) that the only thing gained from he punishment of Hell is God's revenge.

What are people's best responses to those annoying calls...just when you're about to have dinner usually! I'm not totally unsympathetic to the callers...I used to be a telesales operator myself, but now that its me getting called I dont have much patience with them!

My son will be 17 in October and has left school now. He has a slightly disabled hip but can walk ok so he would like a job as an office junior, filing, photocopying, data entry, that kind of thing. He makes a nice cup of tea too. Does anyone have any suggestions?

Do you want them believe your religion?

It seems to me that most people do not realize this. If you do realize this, I'm not trying to insult your intelligence. But if you have not realized this yet, I challenge you to at the least read other sources of religious or spiritual knowledge, not to convert you but so that you may see for your self that God has blessed all of mankind with these and other great spiritual leaders and teachers and that they all stem from the realization of Divinity, but expressed differently as aspects of God Manifest.

Krshna taught through Transcendence
Buddha taught through Compassion
Christ through Salvation.

Now tell me, out of transcendence, compassion, and salvation, what aspect is not God?

I'm sorry....since when do Christians have their own God?

I thought that the Jews and Muslims shared Him too...maybe I'm wrong.

Do not answer with "God does not exist, it doesn't matter" or "You live a lie" or something like that.

The only difference between the Jewish, Christian, and Islamic faith is...

Jews are God's chosen people(still waiting for a Messiah)

Christians ARE Jews, but we believe the Messiah has already came(aka Jesus)

Muslims believe Jesus was not the Messiah, or the Son of God, but was just a prophet. They believe Muhammad was the latest prophet to come to earth. (they're still waiting for the Messiah)

That is the ONLY difference....

Why do some people say "the Christian God" or "the Jewish God" or "the Muslim God"?????

It's the same thing, just differen't names for Him....correct?

Muslims do you use logic in your faith?

Why do you pick allah over yahweh? Yahweh saved the jews in the exodus and split the red sea, allah has no records of any achievements except pretending itself to be yahweh. In which case, why don't you worship yahweh?

Why do you believe muhammad more than Jesus? Jesus had a miraculous birth and had an impeccably righteous life while muhammad murdered people and robbed caravans?

Why do you believe in the qur'an is flawless when it does not even concur with simple logic and says the sun sets in a muddy spring?

Why do you say islam is peaceful when your islamic brothers are killing people everywhere?

Why do you pray towards the ka'aba which houses a black stone but reject being labelled an idol-worshipper?

I know you have TONs of excuses. But why do you need excuses to believe in a religion? Isn't it very tiring?
