I consider them a radical offshoot branch of Christianity, and so far "out there" that they tend to hate everything and everyone who is "not" of thier Church.

Considering that every member is a "family member", you have to wonder if its a cult like Waco, or JIM JONES, or something of that nature.

Fred Phelps must be a very dynamic speaker, to entrance his congregation into doing what they do, and he is fanatical in nature to keep them that way.

Do I support them? No. I dont support anyone who "hates" so many people and is anti "everything". Soldiers have to go to war as it says in the Bible to "obey our masters, them being the Government, when it comes to going to War. Mr Phelps must of skipped over that part of the Bible.

And, not "everyone" is a homosexual!! I wonder if Freud would have a field day with this 'minister' of misunderstanding.

I betcha Mr. Phelps would even argue with JESUS CHRIST HIMSELF! ROTFLOL!

I wish you well...

Jesse

First of all, we all know that he's no Baptist. And if you get down to it, he's no Christian either. Nothing that this man preaches reflects the teachings of Jesus Christ. He displays a negative image and it gives Christianity a black eye because those who don't know better believe this is a representation of what Christians do, and it is not.

Christians are entitled to denounce homosexuality as a sin, because scripture says it is. But this man has no right to protest the funerals of dead soldiers coming home from the war and making statements that our boys deserved to die because of the "sin of homosexuality" in this country. To believe as he does, means that God judges unjustly, and this is not so. Those who commit sins, will account for their sins, and account to God, not to Fred Phelps. To mock a dead soldier in the presence of his grieving family is a disgrace.

The only reason why this man is getting headlines is because REAL Christians are not standing up to him. If that were so, he would slink off into obscurity where he belongs. He needs to be put in his place, with the Lord's help.

In all things pertaining to humanity there is always a minority that take things to the extreme and this is the case with Westboro, the sad thing really is that they put more people off religion than they even realize, they seem to preach a differenr Gospel to Christ and their`s is a Gospel of death and not life.

Ah, good ol' Fred Phelps. I know the name; I don't need to see the clip. He's been at it for a while now. You know you have a problem when even Fox News finds your stuff to be way too right-wing.

These bigoted spreaders of hate should not be allowed to hide behind religion. They should be prosecuted.

These are the extremists of Christians....but these people are NOT Christians.

They insult me and they insult God...it's embarassing for them to even claim to believe in God....
