There is only and one reason...
This is the biggest platform to interact with different people of different personalities and from different and diverse backgrounds. One gets an insight into the deep recesses of those people hidden behind their cryptic tags, while simultaneously increasing ones knowledge.
I am Muslim and I have equal respect for other religions.
All humans are His creations and therefore we are one.

Of your three choices, I guess I would say that I want them to understand my belief (atheism) since so few clearly do. If they did, they wouldn't ask a lot of the questions they do. But I have another reason as well. I am curious about people. Every now and then on here I run across a respectful, reasonable person being genuine about what they believe, and so I go look into it to learn more about it (not with an eye on conversion, just to learn). So far this has only happened three times, but it is a start.

I'm Wiccan. I'm on here because I feel that there are a lot of questions that although asked of people of the questioner's religion and creed, can be better answered by people from the outside looking in. I don't look to attack any other religions, but I will defend myself and because of my religion most people think a simple sentence is a hex or curse. I hope to educate people, whether in religion or in life in general. I know it's a big order to fill, but I'll do my best to fill it!

Blessed be.

I come in here to answer question that I can. and sometimes I read very good answers to other questions that I like and maybe didn't think of. I don't come in here to put people down. I believe in God and when I answer, the only way I can answer it is the way that I believe. I am not trying to make people believe the way I do, but I am just answering the way I believe.

To learn about religions and particularly to gain more knowledge about my own. And to clear misconceptions about my religion. And for the chance that maybe my answer can help someone see reason.

Understand: YES!
Believe: It'd be okay I guess, but not something I hope for.
Attack: No!
Look for religions mistakes: Its hard not to.

I am also interested in hearing WHY people believe what they do.

No religion to speak off.

I'm sort of a rare breed: a non-deist who believes that there is a higher reality ("spiritual" for lack of a better term) of which this reality is only one dimension. I am here to find others who are either developing along similar lines or at least seeking to define their own spirituality instead of accepting either deism or some other "predigested" formula.

Mostly, I'm here to learn. I'm Roman Catholic, but enjoy learning about all different types of religions, beliefs and philosophies.

Islam is very dear to me and I truly believe in it. However, Islam is grossly misunderstood by many.

1. Yes, Islam is not as bad as the media and Islam-haters highlight it.

2. Believe, yes. Convert, nobody has to, as there is no compulsion in Islam.

3. No, thanks. I have interacted with Christians, Hindus and people of all faiths, and I respect them. I even respect athiests... however, I believe it's very unfair when some of them say theists are unintelligent/dumb.

You're welcome.

I want them to understand what I believe...not my belief. I do not completely understand my believe and no Christian should say that. We do not know the full truth, but we will when we reach heaven.

I just want to help others who do not know. I know I have asked questions, not nesscessarily on here, because I don't know the answer and I have not gotten the answer.

So I just want to be someone who can help.
