Indians out of aping the west are indeed becoming non-veg, forgetting their identity, and losing pride in the history, philosophy and culture. They are under tremendous influence of western material discoveries, advancements etc. They are enamoured of material comforts achieved by the west. So they have begun to think that all things of west are good and should be aped and all things of east need to be thrown to the dustbin.

But it is a bull **** claim made by these apes when they say they are atheists. Put them in deep financial, mental, emotional distress and out gushes the words "God help me get out of this". It is very very difficult to become atheist overnight. Theism has gone into the subconscious of Indians. Ofcourse over a period of time things change. But it is equally true that lots of atheists are turning theists. Actually it is a two way traffic. My Boss is a practising Astrologer. In darkness of night big shots come to him for astrological advice. But in the sunlight they say astrology is all non-sense. Indians are hypocrites. I being an Indian also share this stigma.

It is not their fault but it is the effect of Kaliyug. It is well known that only readings, chanting and singing of Sri Mad Bhagvata Sastra is the only solution. That is why this Bhgwad is like a wordy idol. By reading it, gathering its wisdom, singing it all the sins are washed away. That is weekly reading is recommended and in the Kalyug, compared to other ways, this way is considered to be the prime one. In the Kalyug, this is the only Dharam that will wipe away sadness, poverty, misfortune and sins. And grants victory over lust, anger and enemy. Else, this Maya is tough even for Devtas to break, so where do humans rank. Thus, to get rid of the illusion, the weekly reading method has been formulated.

Basically, it is one's choice in doing so.

Although religion is one of the signature in a culture, it is not the only thing that determine the culture.

There are many other reasons to become a vegetarian, athough religion is one of them, it should not be the only and main cause.

Just because one reject the idea of believing in hindu god does not mean he / she had forgotten his / her identity.

according to one of the surveys carried out recently christians are the devoted of all the human race.

why????
just because they r attached to ONE.that ONE is himself a living being.JESUS CHRIST.
whatever complains you have if not only indians but all of the world start following it sincerely it wil help remove this feeling of being an aethist

in my view people those who call themselves aethist are the ones who turn out to be great devotees when they get focussed and live what is called an IDEAL-CENTRIC life. why ideal? why not GOD? that is because ideal is the materialised form of GOD- the bliss, the supernatural power who does not want bells of temples, flowers or sweets. HE wants HIS sons to be most dedicated and loving towards HIM AT FIRST, live according to the qualities of humanity that He has given and make everyone attatched to this source.
and to know GOD, to feel him and be with him you need to be with the SON OF SUPREME WHO COME MUCH IN THE HUMAN FORM LIKE JESUS CHRIST, SRI KRISHNA, SRI RAM, SRI RAM KRISHNA PARAMHANS, MOHAMMED RASOOL, SRI CHAITANYA MAHAPRABHU ACCORDING TO THE AGE AND NEED OF THE AGE.
VERY MUCH SIMPLE. AS TO BECOME EFFICIENT IN CRICKET YOU NEED TO GO TO THE BEST CRICKET COACH, to become a good musician you need to go to the best music teacher- similarly to become the best individual, the best human, you need to go to some one called as GURU- THE PRESENT AGE IDEAL, THE PURUSHOTTAM, THE FULFILLER THE BEST OF THIS AGE.
UNLESS AND UNTILL THIS IS OBERVED NO ONE CAN BE CALLED A DEVOTEE BE IT INDIAN OR AMERICAN OF INDONESIAN
