I'm sorry....since when do Christians have their own God?
I thought that the Jews and Muslims shared Him too...maybe I'm wrong.
Do not answer with "God does not exist, it doesn't matter" or "You live a lie" or something like that.
The only difference between the Jewish, Christian, and Islamic faith is...
Jews are God's chosen people(still waiting for a Messiah)
Christians ARE Jews, but we believe the Messiah has already came(aka Jesus)
Muslims believe Jesus was not the Messiah, or the Son of God, but was just a prophet. They believe Muhammad was the latest prophet to come to earth. (they're still waiting for the Messiah)
That is the ONLY difference....
Why do some people say "the Christian God" or "the Jewish God" or "the Muslim God"?????
It's the same thing, just differen't names for Him....correct?

Hitlet DID kill not only Christians, but a large percentage of all religious leaders, including many Christian ones.
The only difference, again, between Christians and Jews is that we(Christians) believe Jesus is the Messiah, and the Jews are still waiting.

Same God as in same origins but people have different ideas on what he expects of us and what kinds of things either please him or pisses him off.

According to the bible, the old testament God (Jewish) is a mean old man. The new Testament God (Christian) is all peace an love. Sounds like two different Gods to me. The Koran dictates yet another personality.
Three different Gods or one God with multiple personality disorder?

Brian, While I agree that the God I worship is the same God that gave Moses scripture and the children of Abraham followed It does not take long to understand the Allah of Islam is not the God of Abraham. If Allah were the God of Abraham he would definitely agree with my God. There are seemingly endless differences between Allah and my God
it is the reason Muslims call the true word of God corrupt..It does not agree with Muhammad and Allah. The God that spoke to Moses gave insturctions on many things that are very imprtant to know who God is one he foretold of the fall of man...that man is not rihgteous but tha only God is righteous and that God does nto simply agree with any sin because God is a righteous God. When Adam sinned even before God warned Adam in the day you eat of the tree you will surely die, The serpent said you will not surely die. It was the first lie of Satan to man that God was not a righteous God and he would overlook their sin.The Qu'ran teaches God simply forgave Adam. Moses taught that there was also a tree of lide in the Garden. The Qu'ran fails to mention this tree of salvation. We can see that Adam surely did die and all men do sin and die. Moses spoke to God and receved the truth and Muhamamd spoke to... Not to the God that Moses spoke to but definitely agreed with the serpent the Bible says is Satan. This is merely one example of two different god's the entire Qu'ran is not in agreement wiht the God thatw as before Muhammad it is the reason muslims must say their god could not keep his word until Muahmmad came wih the Qu'ran which was not in agreement with the god they claim to worship.

Some of my fellow Christians would disagree with me, but yes I think you are correct.
However there are false gods and false Christs. Jesus warned us about that. Satan sometimes likes to pose as God and get people to do terrible things. Sometimes he lies and tells people he is Allah or Jesus or some other god.
But there really is only one true God and He knows who His true followers are whether they call themselves Christians, Jews, Muslims, or anything else.

i agree with what > SL < said except for the fact that not all christians believe Jesus is God.
John 3:16, 17 , 18 >
16. For God so loved the world, that he gave his only-begotten Son, that whosoever believes on him may not perish, but have life eternal.
17. For God has not sent his Son into the world that he may judge the world, but that the world may be saved through him.
18. He that believes on him is not judged: but he that believes not has been already judged, because he has not believed on the name of the only-begotten Son of God.
The bible does not say that we must believe that Jesus is God or that we must believe the trinity doctrine to be saved!

You are 100% correct, according to the teachings at my church, which is Catholic. We are taught that there is only one God and there are many ways to worship....We are taught it is unacceptable to reject these believer's because if we can't get along with everyone in Heaven, we won't be invited to come. I am hopeful that one day we can all set aside our differences and focus only on those things that are truly remarkable about God's creation, us, and learn to love even our enemy's as Our God commanded. Then, maybe we can get back to what God had in mind in the first place. Peace.

First of all, let's set the record straight. Muslims believe in a false god called "Allah", which in no way is connected to the God of Abraham, Issac, and Jacob, as is with Judaism and Christianity. If Muslims truly believed in the God of Abraham, Issac and Jacob, they would not call the Bible "corrupted". Also, they would not desire that the Jews would be annihilated from the face of the earth.
Christianity originates from Judiaism, but they believe that Jesus is Messiah, and Judaism does not. But God the Father is the same in both beliefs.
There is nothing that even connects Islam with Christianity and Judaism, other than the dispute over the first born inheritance of Issac rather than Ishmael. The beliefs are totally different, and their "god" is totally different.

Interestingly, The Buddha refrained from using the term "god."
Not because he did not believe in God, but because ordinary man's inability to comprehend Divinity without obstructions. So therefore he taught to attain Self-Realization (Enlightenment) which is also God-Realization. The Buddha was wise to know that people would seek the "God" as being "out there" rather than with in. Christ also mentions that the kingdom of heaven is with in you. Thus The Buddha used the term "Self" in place of "God" so as not to mislead people into believing in a false anthromorphic depiction of Divinity

1. Christians are not Jews. Jews is a race. I am a chinese Christian. i can never be a Jew.
2. Muslims worship allah, a tribal moon god, whose idol was dug up in Mecca. allah teaches muslims to strike off enemies' heads, and strike off enemies' finger tips. muslims are supposed to kill those who resist Islam. (i am not lying and i am not quoting out of context). Muslims believe Jesus is NOT GOD. Muslims believe Jesus was NOT crucified, but will come back again.(2nd coming of Christ)
3. Christians believe Jesus is God, God the Son. there are 3 persons, Father, Son and Holy Spirit, 3 are ONE, revealed in 3 ways. Jesus is God in flesh, crucified, rose again and is coming back. Christians are taught to love our ENEMIES, do good to them, and care for them.
4. Jews think Jesus is a false prophet. that is why they killed Him. Jews is waiting for another messiah, who they think will be human, who will restore peace on earth. Jews believe in YAHWEH, but they do not believe YAHWEH has chosen to reveal Himself in 3 forms, therefore missing out the revelations that Christians have.
so Allah, Yahweh, and JESUS are quite different in a Jew's, Christian's and Muslim's perspective.

It is a way of tagging the specific religion under discussion.
Also, I don't agree that I believe in the same God as the Muslims, they may say otherwise, which is their opinion, but I disagree and I have the right to disagree.
