I'm doubtful about the pronunciation; can you write it in the IPA transcription? Thanks

I'm from yorkshire, to most people it's pronounced like this - Lester

Sorry, I don't have IPA fonts, but it's 2 syllables with the stress on the first syllable; the first vowel is the same mid front vowel in 'pet' (the symbol looks like a little 3), & the vowel in the second syllable is 'schwa' with the final 'r' not pronounced.

So to write it in IPA it's l - [mid-front vowel] - s - t - [schwa] .

Good luck! :-)

The English city of Leicester is pronounced:"Lester".
What you may call any US city of the same name is anybody's guess.

Depends on what nationality you are LOL.
It`s properly pronounced "Less-ter".
However if you`re a dumbass yank it`s "lie-chester" LOL
