To answer the question, the media corporations and the arms manufacturers are part of the same monopolies and together they profit from war. All of those million dollar bombs that they drop over there are paid for out of taxpayers pockets, and the profit goes straight to the manufacturers.

Verse 4:89 is talking about the hypocrites, who stabbed the Muslims from behind, not the unbelievers. Even then, read 4:90 below, it is clear Allah prefers peace if enemies withdraw their fights against Muslims. And yup, you are surely brainwashed.
