Asking a Jew that question and the answer you get would be > There is a lot of difference! The Hebrew Sacred Scriptures were all written before the time of Jesus. Written by Hebrew people - Israelites - including all 12 tribes one of which is the descendants of Judah / Jews.
Some of the Jews believed in Jesus being the Messiah which they had all been waiting on. But the majority did not and still don't. So the Jews do not accept the New Testament ( the christian sacred scriptures ) as the Word of God.
The christians on the other hand do accept the Old Testament ( the hebrew sacred scripture ) as the Word of God because it tells the history of the Religion which Jesus came from.
Also there were many other texts written that are not in the cannon of the bible that the majority read today, these other texts are called Apocrypha & Non-Cannonical Text & Gnostic Text & Pseudepigrapha & a few others , like the Dead Sea Scrolls that were discovered during this past 100 years.
Some of these are accepted by Jews, some are accepted by some christians. Personally i find them very interesting reading, and eye opening in many cases.
Also remember that not everyone that gives an answer has really studied the differences.

What Christians call the Old Testament, is taken from the Jewish Torah.
There are differences in translation/interpretations.
Jews don't agree with the accuracy of most of the translations/interpretations of Christians from the original Hebrew. If you want to know how Jews translate/interpret the Torah, you should probably find a book or website not put out by Christians or messianic Jews.

The Hebrew writings may be considered sacred by Jews and christians, but Jesus did not consider them inspired by God. He told us this in The Apocryphon of John. The original writings of the n.t. could very well have been inspired by God, but we don't have them. They were either lost or destroyed and we only have recovered remants of copies of copies etc. The Apocryphon of John and other writings from the disciples give us a much different and clearer picture of the message that Jesus came to deliver to the world. Be smart, believe Jesus, not Moses

The Jews do not recognize the New Testament as being Scripture, they only recognize and revere the Old Testament.
The Christians recognize and revere both Old and New Testaments as the written, inspired Word of God.

Nothing really....
The "Christian" Old Testament is the Jewish scripture. About the prophets before the time of Jesus.
But, the New Testament is the Scripture about the life, death, and resurrection of Jesus...
Just more books to read is all....
