I know a guy and a girl who are both in the military. The girl is a lesbian, the guy is straight. Well turns out he likes the girl, she dont like him obviously since she's gay, they got married though and live in the same apartment complex but different apartments. Does the guy sound like he is bisexual or just trying to rip the government off?

In all seriousness--is a kiss that turns too passionate a bad thing, or is the teaching more along the lines of "just don't touch the naughty bits?"

I'm genuinely curious about this. I can't imagine God would outlaw affection and I've never seen anything more specific than "don't fornicate," so I wonder where the line is actually drawn. There's an awful lot of ground between a peck on the cheek and sexual contact.

But is sexual contact just sexual THOUGHTS while contacting someone else??

Like everything else, I can see this getting kind of extreme but I'd love to hear what people generally think.

An answer to a previous question got me thinking about this:

If, because you're a believer ( in ANY religion ) you KNOW you can go to heaven, would you ask God to accept someone else, not of your faith, into heaven instead, because you KNEW they were more worthy ?

For instance, if you were a run-of-the-mill, everyday Christian, would you ask God to accept a Jewish doctor who had dedicated his life to healing others, or if you were a Muslim, would you give up your place in Paradise to a Hindu who had cared for the poor and downtrodden, or if you were Jewish, would you give your place to a Christian who had sheltered Jewish kids during the Holocaust?

If you KNEW someone of a different faith had done more for humanity than you had, would you be willing to stand aside so that person could enter your "heaven" ?

I'm curious to know how many "religious" people believe that deeply in Justice . . . . and, anticipating certain answers, yes, I believe God would grant your request.

I've seen this cliche on here and it got me thinking...

What motivates white men who date black women primarily? Guilt? Forbidden? What?

Or, am I supposedly viewing my white fiance as a trophy subconsciously, according to these cliches?

This may be a dumb question, but I was just wondering how people came to picture Satan as being a red guy with horns and a pointy tail (sometimes even cloven feet).

Anyone know?

This is the question my work husband's little girl was assigned in Sunday School last week. On Father's Day, fittingly enough, the teacher asked to talk to him about her answer. It was, "...do lots of weird things." Apparently, at seven, she thinks things like a guy surviving being swallowed by a fish and the sea parting are weird. My friend is committed to Christianity, but he couldn't help laughing.

What do you think of her answer?

And what would your answer be?

I spend a lot of time on the internet and often see people that set up accounts for charitable contributions. But... What is considered charity? I am in the process of building a home but have to pay some medical bills from an emergency surgery for my husband that wasn't covered by our insurance. Do you know of a way that I could raise funds or get these "charitable contributions" in order to pay these bills off so I can close on my house next month?

You had Miami Vice, good music, Lacoste Shirts, Members Only jackets, Madonna, a black Michael Jackson, the 49ers were good, Phil Collins, Don Johnson, Corey Hart, cool cars, Adidas... the list goes on. Now it seems everything sucks. What is your input??

do I see so many responses that equate gays with people who want to have sex with dogs or are child molesters, as if those acts of RAPE are remotely related to consensual adult sex?

Why would someone seek to stop another person getting the same benefits of long-term, serious relationships (tax breaks, hospital-visitation, inheritance rights) that hetero married couples enjoy with the government's OK?

It is one thing to disagree with something that someone is doing, but love them. It is another to actively prevent those same people from living a happy life.

All I'm saying is...if we hated the sin but loved the sinner, there would be gay marriage, gays would not need special protection under the law (hate crime legislation) because they're so much more likely to be randomly beaten up, etc.

Doesn't the reality of discrimination refute this whole "no really, we love the sinner" line? I don't sabotage those I love from trying to pursue what makes them happy and hurts no one.
