Pretend you're living in the days of the New Testament. You're a devout Jew, knowing the law up and down, and true to the teachings of the early prophets. Suddenly, there are rumors of a great prophet named Jesus performing miracles and claiming that He is the Son of God, the promised Messiah. You know the Scriptures of the old days and you know One has been promised. You wonder.
Days later, Jesus comes to your town. The Pharisees and Saducees speak against him, and some of your friends do the same. Yet, others of your friends say, I believe He is the one. You're caught. You don't know whether to believe or not. You hear him speak. He IS a great prophet, but is he the Messiah? You fight with yourself. You go home, search the olden Scriptures. You know that your family does not believe this man is the Messiah. You know that tradition would say he can't be the one. Yet, you know what you hear.
Will you accept Him as the Messiah?
