Don't buy the lie of the devil that being rich is a sin. use your finances to glorify God and things will be fine. and that is not to say that you shouldn't have a nic ehome and a few nice things for yourself int he process. :)

Enjoy it, bless others, and you'll have a happy life, and change other people's lives for the better :)

No. Many Christians in the Old Testament had a fair amount of wealth. Abraham, Job, David, and Solomon were all quite rich. However it's to be remembered that the more you receive the more that is expected from you (Matthew 25:16). Also whether rich or poor it is to be remembered that the LOVE of money is the root of all evil (1 Timothy 6:10).

No not at all, and in fact it is one of the spiritual gifts given by the Holy Spirit. There are some folkd very disciplined with money and can make it seem easy to handel money. The idea is that God knows who can handel it, and He gives it accouringly, you will also notice that most wealthy folks are pretty ardent givers as well, both to the church and to charrities.

The sin that is often missquoted is this "The love of money" not Money but the love of money is the root of all evil. Therefore you can be dirt poor and still be a sinner cause you love what you do not have. Or you have it and you hoard it. (hence the story "A Christmas Carol" bah humbug)

Hope this info helps

Only if that wealth becomes a god. God blesses His faithful with wealth sometimes and hopes that they will continue to be faithful and use it as God directs. This world takes money, so of course wealth is needed to further God's work. If people begin to hoard their money or buy lots of frivolous toys with it, they may have fallen into sin by not being wise stewards. Not saying that having toys is a sin, but each of us need to seek God's wisdom on what we use our money for.

No, the Bible talks throughout the Old and New Testaments about the God's desire for us to succeed through Him. The problem is that many people forget God and turn to sin as they become more successful in earthly, material ways. God would rather us struggle during this life and be rewarded forever in Heaven than to give us material wealth and lose us to damnation.

The important thing is what we do with the wealth that we have and where we place our strength and security.

No its not, but it could become a temptation.

The bible talks about a rich young man who followed all of god's commandments. Well, when he met Jesus, Jesus immediately knew that this young man had a lot of potential, since the rich young man ran too Jesus and feel to his knees as a sign of respect, something that rich people or people with power would not normally do. Since he did everything by god's word already, he asked what else should he do.

Jesus responded by saying then sell what you have and give to the poor, and you'll have treasures in the heavens, and come be my follower.

however the young man went away sad and hurt, because he had too many possessions. thinks about, he gave up the chance to become a follower of CHRIST himself!!!

That's why Mathew 19:24 mentions that its easier for a camel to walk through a needle's eye than for a rich man to get into the kingdom of god.

No. God says he delights in giving us the desires of our hearts. If all Christians were dirt poor, there would be no one to give to ministries that evangelize the world or build churches. He says seek ye FIRST the kingdom of heaven and all these thing shall be added unto you. The key is that we love and trust God not money. People love the verse about it being easier for a camel to go through the eye of a needle... The eye of a needle is what they used to call a narrow passage between rock formations that camels had to travel through. Not as impossible as a literal camel and needle. The point being that it is easy to put too much trust in your wealth if you have it.The LOVE of money is the root of all kinds of evil. If you have been blessed with wealth, remember who blessed you with the ability to make it, and enjoy it. Ecclesiastes is a good book to understand wealth. It's written by king Solomon. God bless!!!

Only if that wealth keeps the Christian from being a humble person and comes between the Christian and their walk with God. The Bible does say that it is easier for a camel to go through the eye of a needle than for a rich man to enter into the Kingdom of God.

Not individually...as long as he is generous to others in need.
To whom much is given, much is expected.

However, I believe it is sinful to churches to have lots of wealth...the money that churches operate on is money that was given to God, in the way of a tithe or offering...and should be used to help the poor, widows, orphans, etc...it should go to good, Godly work...it should not go to building muti-million dollar buildings that show the pastor's ego....
I believe if God were here, he would preach from a donated warehouse...and give the rest of the money to the poor...

Likewise, I think a pastor/priest/preacher/rabbi should also not be of great wealth...I think he would serve God and his church more effectively if he were a humble man...and if he were truly a Godly man, would not want personal wealth...as a resulf of his chosen/called profession...how can one serve two master's...God and money?

No, wealth may be blessing in the Christians life and should be given with a cheerful heart to the church. Many wealthy Christians keep churches going, for the little guys who can't offer up that much.
