I don't have 1, don't desire 1, they have no power over me, I seek no power from one, but, just for the sake of knowing, I'm curious to whether the design and position are crucial, and if the points must touch the circle, or etc. Nothing I need to know, but do you know? And why did you want to know before you knew? Lol. Maybe I should'nt seek to "know" too much about "that other tree". Arg. Something bout... "knowing". Knowledge. Something bout "what killed the cat"? Lol.

What is the bare minimum of Christianity? What I am asking is this: what doctrines do you consider absolutely essential for one to believe in order to be a "true Christian". Now I know your answer will depend upon your definition of a "true Christian." The flip side of this is: which doctrines do you think are not essential for the faith? I don’t mean they are unimportant or that you don’t believe them, but what I mean is that they are not part of the core belief one must have in order to be identified as a "true Christian."

I'm doing it right now. What does that say about me? You? Anyone who does it? I have an important job and I'm in a high profile position. I sit behind a closed door in an office with nobody to watch over my shoulder. I still get my work done (and done well), but why am I doing this? Why are you doing this? Are certain people predispositioned for this behavior? Who and why?

Granted, there are some physical attributions from ourselves and others that we don't like... some go to the extremes and dislike a whole ethnic group. I am not there... but I can tell that I am more attracted to light skinned guys than darker, I love dark and curly hair more that flat blond and I have never felt a tiny bit of attraction for any Asian (except south Koreans; I don’t get it either).
Anyway... in a world where racism and ethnocentrisms is still common, if we all were the same, would that really fix the problem?

At work puting on a face..A happy positive face when really I just want to hide. I can't appear depressed because it's 'socially unacceptable' to be depressed. God! I feel so fake.

I'm talking about the process of creating another person artificially. I have yet to hear an argument that makes any real sense. The only just one I have heard is that there is a high risk of fatal deformity to the clone. Assuming you could eliminate that risk and create a copy of a person, what is the problem?

A friend of ours has a troubled background (drugs, alcohol) and is a single mother of two with no education beyond high school. She is very generous on holidays and gives people things like Oakleys, iPods, camping sets, etc. Stuff that's really expensive.

We're pretty sure she's stealing it. How can we ask her/tell her she doesn't have to impress us with this stuff?

I know of a jewish grandmother who would not stay in her house at the same time as any other member of her family had gentile guests around. Is there any precedent for this, or is it just a case of individual prejudice and intolerance?

I try not to make a habit of it and of course it does depend on how close you are to the person. My brother and I for example will just drop in on each other at any time and it is no big deal.
In fact, since we have the keys to each others places, it is not unusual for one of us to come home and find the other lounging on the couch, watching TV, drinking a beer.

But that is a special case. What about my aunt and uncle? We live in the same city, just a few miles apart. It used to bother me that I did not see them often and they never called. Once a couple of years ago when we were all having dinner with another relative, my uncle told me to come on by their house any time I felt like it. He said that I did not need an invitation. But I would prefer an invitation. Sometimes when I do drop by, like in my previous question, I feel a little bit awkward. What should I do?
Continue to drop by unannounced, call them occasionally without going over, wait for them to call me?

I'm 23 and a cleaner, anyway, people have always said i'm a pretty woman etc. I've noticed that when i have my tracksuit bottoms on etc and my hair tied back, people say their usual hello but dont bother talking to me. When it was the xmas meal i straightened my hair and made myself look beautiful and all of a sudden people were talking to me and complimenting me,whereas at work they cant be bothered with me. Just goes to show how shallow people are. Why do they treat me nicer when i dress myself up?i'm still the same person?

This question was inspired by another question that was just asked a few minutes ago, "True or False? Reality is determined by the individual's perception." A great question. I want to know how the ability to make a choice fits with your answer to this question.

Let's face it, the middle east 2,000 years ago was much the same as it is now..sandy and backward. Why then did god send jesus to such a hostile and horrible place? Why didn't he send jesus to china, where like today, it had a reliable written history and was florishing as a society and all of his miracles would have been much more well documented. Does god have something against the asians?

So simply asking God to help you should entitle you to some miracle?

Why not spend that time trying to fix the problem yourself?

If you pray to God or whoever to keep your family safe and the next day one of your family members is injured what do you do? Spout off that what happened is part of your deity's plan?

As we are All One, interconnected by the Light (the Energy) of All that Is (God); AND, as we can say that our Mind creates/moves reality around us (simply put, of course)...

Could limiting thoughts regarding others, inhibit the path to enlightenment for those others; and even ourselves?

Everyone wants to believe this doctrine, yet no one can show me the word trinity in the Bible. Of course there are other things that prove my point, but this one alone proves to me that there is no such thing. Theres God (Jehovah), theres Jesus, and theres God's active force, the Holy Spirit. 3=3, 2=2, 1=1, never has 3=1. (if so, my math teachers taught me wrong!!!!)
