Everytime my "time" is not normal than usual, everytime I ask my mom, she think's I'm pregnant or have STD's. So I go to people who will be quick to judge in their heads.

Because they're too embarrassed to ask their moms or maybe they live with their dads. Here, its very anonymous.

Even though its a very normal function, its that part of the anatomy that embarrasses girls, like when a friend calls and their parents tell them that they are in the bathroom.

Just telling people that you are near a toilet could be mortifying for a teen. But once you reach a certain age, you can go to the store and flash that bag or box of feminine hygiene with pride.

Many parents don't encourage open conversation with their children or don't realize that children are ready to have these conversations. Especially when girls are younger than 13 are asking. Parents may think that it's too early. Also, they might be shy or double checking information they've received from friends or their parents. Girls at school are talking about this way earlier than parents are.

I was really shy about those kind of things as a young girl....especially with my mom.

took years for me to be able to talk about it with her..and even now at 30 there are some things that make me uncomfortable.

It is really hard being a teenage girl..and sometimes it is easier to talk anonymously about these kind of things
