hurricane Katrina devastated New Orleans, and the twin towers fell because a black-puertorican girl did roots (voodoo) on a native american girl?

The black-puertorican was JEALOUS of the native american girl who would recieve monthly percapita from her tribe that own and operate a casino. The tribe had all there money tied in stocks, and investments. When the black-peurtorican girl worked voodoo on her, her prayers involved money. Where the money is coming from.

Yes the tribal members do recieve percapita, but as did many other companies and business, the tribe lost millions upon millions of dollars.

So I've found a lot of people on here, from all the "sides" - the atheists, the muslims, the christians, the jews, etc etc, who seem to think that your religious beliefs are an indication of your intelligence.

And apparently it can work both ways - the Atheists seem to think the Christians fail to understand concepts such as evolution based on the fact they follow the religion they do, and the Christians often suggest Atheists are stupid for failing to see evidence of the God they believe in.

So why is this? How many of you think religion is a reflection of intelligence? Is it really? Have you come across proof, other than speculation? I genuinely want to know...so I'm throwing it wide open here.

Does your intelligence affect your religious beliefs? Or do your religious beliefs affect your intelligence, even? Or neither?

Considering the effects of too much testosterone
(aggressiveness, bullying, violence), and that
hyper-masculinity is detering guys from graduating
and progressing ...

Should we be helping guys by inhibiting testosterone
or adding estroegen (not so much as to effect their
potency, but only their behavior)?

Will society become less violent if we did this?

The reason I'm considering not believing in the afterlife is because it's not just for God who is just to send a person to hell because they chose the wrong religion, seeing as how religion is not based on reason. In the Bible, it says that if you don't believe in Jesus, then your going to hell. So, everyone who is not Christian is going to hell. That means thats ALOT more people in the world are going to hell than heaven.

For example, most Christians believe that their God is all-loving and all-merciful. Yet most Christians also believe that this same God intentionally killed millions of people in a flood and condemns millions more to eternal torment in the fires of Hell, even good people like Gandhi.

Even a four-year-old child is intelligent enough to see the contradiction between these two beliefs. But most Christians don't seem to care if two of their beliefs contradict each other. Can someone please explain this to me?
Thank you.

I'm white (Russian) and my boyfriend is black (Nigerian) and many people seem to have a problem with seeing the 2 of us together. Some of my family members are reluctant to accept our relationship, warning me about having to deal with social pressure (unfortunately they don't seem to understand that for me they are the main source of that pressure) and bringing it up as a con. I have no clue what they are talking about because a) I've never dated anyone who isn't Russian and b) all i see in this guy is his intelligence, character, and a bunch of other stuff that makes me fall for him. So what's the problem? What rule are we breaking? My family doesn't hate him or anything like that and will accept him once they see that he makes me happy, but they would rather see me with a Russian because they think it would be better and easier for me.

And any tips on how to deal with the negativity coming from my family and society in general? Any personal experiences you'd like to share?

Why, when I asked my last question, did very few read it? Instead, they ignored what it said completely. You want to take the news and say it's the religion? Ok, so that must mean every mother in America will harm, possibly kill, her children the moment she has a chance, and that every husband of every pregnant woman will kill her.

Sounds stupid? It sounds just as stupid when you do it.

"Rape as hiraba is a violent crime that uses sexual intercourse as a weapon. The focus in a hiraba prosecution is the accused rapist and his intent and physical actions, and not second-guessing the consent of the rape victim. Hiraba does not require four witnesses to prove the offense, circumstantial evidence, medical data and expert testimony form the evidence used to prosecute such crimes."

What do you think of the quote?

I don't care if you want to get married....then good for you. I have no problems. My question is if the government opens the door for alternative lifestyles to get married, then where will it stop? I mean if men can marry men, then why can't a man marry two women? If it is no longer just a man and woman, then the door is open for all.....right?
