I understand his criticism. However that's not the way this world is built. It's OK to be uplifting for those who want to uplift themselves. But for those who haven't got a clue as to what the man is saying would most definitely find his words harsh and feel that he's somewhat of a sell-out as oppose to being helpful towards his people. I was always taught from my parents that "It's not what you say to people, it's how it's how you say it." Trust me......I've heard this speech from Bill Cosby. He comes off to me as being a snob. The truth he speaks but he's just very arrogant when he speaks to us as a people.

I agree with him totally except for the names part (I wouldn't name my child sheniqua, but I think that's the least of black america's worries). Too bad our "leaders" have most of us so brainwashed into blaming everyone but ourselves, that Cosby's words will fall on deaf ears. Hopefully some day the excuse making will stop.

He knows that his own kind are the reason racism still exists.

Wouldn't it be nice if the majority of black people acted civil, then maybe the racist wouldn't have so much firepower.
