i think the atheists are discriminated against to a degree. not able to run for political office for example. it's nothing too serious yet but it could be bad. as for agnostics, we take no side so there really isn't anything to discriminate against.

All atheists are discriminated against to some degree.
Open atheists generally cannot be elected to high office, so there is a sort of religious test for office even though the enforcement is only through societal prejudice.
Atheists are also generally pressured to keep their views to themselves, and they don't get a lot of the perks religious people get (e.g. religious exemptions from serving in the army).

No, but I know that many people don't like me simply because I'm not a believer. I also know that a few Christians do not believe in freedom of religion, and they would love to turn America into a theocratic dictatorship if they had the chance. Notice I said a few, because most Christians believe in freedom and the motto live and let live.

Not really.
But then I do not go around publicising the fact. I sometimes get odd looks when it does come up.
The fact that people are lest likely to vote for an atheist president does mean that there is a discriminatory attitude there though.

Not generally. There are some things which I feel are biased toward theism, but I don't feel as though I am regularly the victim of religious discrimination.

It's pretty limited; I have a suspicion that if I came out as an atheist at work, I'd find myself fired for some 'unrelated' reason. But that's because my employers are psychotic and vindictive, not because they're Christians.

no, because you can't just look at someone and know they're an atheist.
