You had Miami Vice, good music, Lacoste Shirts, Members Only jackets, Madonna, a black Michael Jackson, the 49ers were good, Phil Collins, Don Johnson, Corey Hart, cool cars, Adidas... the list goes on. Now it seems everything sucks. What is your input??

Well let's see..... lol
I was 15 - 25 in the 80's so i guess I remember that ... but we also had cell phones that looked like walkie talkies if you could afford it which no one I knew could , no computers , no internet, no DVD's, no flat screens, no alternative rock , and sure we had ok t.v. shows but in prime time it was Silver Spoons, Facts of Life, and really lame shows that if you watched now you would laugh at in a bad way , horrible quality American cars, and guys with feathered hair that covered there ears. I guess you can pick and choose the better things of it and I did have a good time but if you are from this decade and went back I think you would think alot of it would be pretty lame and laugh at the simplicity of it all . But then again i would 'nt trade those times for anything so I'm glad I was there .

Because the 80s and 70s had awesome music, and awesome TV shows and great cartoons like Heman, Thundercats, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, etc. They had awesome clothing and hairstyles. Everything went downhill after the early 90s. The 90s was my childhood but I was born in 87. Now it seems the music suxs, clothes are getting worse, cartoon shows suck.

Fads, crazes, music tastes constantly change. Right now, I think the world is at a loss as to where to go, so the music is .... sorry, but awful. The clothes I see are.... awful. TV is always awful...so what else is new? It would seem that anytime good music is offered, it is rejected. Good TV develops a small following. Rap has had its day, is no longer pertinent, yet drive down the street and all you hear is boom, boom, boom. How many times can the same thing be rhymed before it is tired, tired, tired. ????

You're right, the 3 49ers super bowls were fantastic, the highlight of the 80s for me. If only Eddie D were still at the helm.....

You forgot parachute pants. A young Madonna wearing her underwear on the out side was kinda HOT.

the 80's sucked...MAJORLLY! especially the music...the ninties, however, is considered to be the best music decade yet...with oasis etc at their peak and bands like trvis and stereophonics comin on to the scene...WOW! as for the current decade...can't say much...especially with all this r'n'b and rave at the minute!

OMG!!!!!! I loved the 80's. Music and t.v. made sense than. Cartoons were g-rated and sitcoms were actually funny.
