When watching the movie I could have sworn that I have already heard of the evil monster with the eyes on his hands that kills children, and I already heard of the root that wanted to be human...I could have sworn that i did. And what is the symbolism behind these stories? The themes?

Here are the similarities between "The View of the Hebrews" and "The Book of Mormon"

extensive quotation from the prophecies of Isaiah in the Old Testament.

the Israelite origin of the American Indian

the future gathering of Israel and restoration of the Ten Lost Tribes

the peopling of the New World from the Old via a long journey northward which encountered "seas" of "many waters"

a religious motive for the migration

the division of the migrants into civilized and uncivilized groups with long wars between them and the eventual destruction of the civilized by the uncivilized

the assumption that all native peoples were descended from Israelites and their languages from Hebrew

the burial of a sacred book

When I visited Jeff Lindsays website he basically just said how there are a lot of differences between the two books and the similarities are at best superficial, but of coarse there are differences between the two books, there not the same book. Why does that make it unlikely that it didn’t influence the theme of the Book of Mormon? Why does that make it unlikely that it was just one more of many things that influenced Joseph Smith? Why do Mormons claim the similarities are superficial and non important?

Hi! I am part Native American, being 1/3 Apache, ( the others being White and Indian), and I was wondering if I would be accepted among them even though being part white, and how white people treated them? I don't want to seem like the run of the mill person who says they're part Native American either. I'm trying to get in touch with all three parts of my heritage, and was just wondering how I'd be looked upon. :) I do have blonde hair that I got from my dad, but my mom is Indian and Native American.

The word "witch" has always been with us. When a person in ruling power or a religionist came into power over a small village or a whole country and their popularity or power was a bit shakey they would want to make sure none stood above them in the eyes of those they ruled religiously or in every day life.
A healer or herbalist or midwife would be a challenge as the people would come to find while the ruler or the religionist took taxes and tithes and some times daughters and wives, the healer, herbalist, or midwife, ask for little. They brought health and new life to the community.
In time the healer, herbalist, or midwife began to be revered in the community. Judgements were asked of them rather than the person in ruling power or a religionist. Then the population would begin comparing the healer, herbalist, or midwife to the person in ruling power and the religionist.

After a workout in the gym i usually go for a shower but find it difficult to stop myself from getting a hard on , how do you stop it. i go before school in the morning so need to shower there and then or else ill stink so what do you do?

he wears tight clothes.....
he always wants to look his best
he has a soft vocie and is past puberty
ppl around him think he is gay ....
almost all his brothers are gay except him and the older one
he puts his hands on his hips at times ... or so they say they seen em
and he has a girlfriend ... who he's been sexually with which happens to be my sister....
me and my sister sometimes wonder if he is gay?
do u think he is or are we overreacting?
also some guys act gay around him but just playin and he dosent say **** he just rolls with it?
he dosent call my sis that much and they hardly see eachother ... she also has a longdistance relationship as me.... yea bad neways

Only good and holiness is contained in God, and his Son, and what they stand for. So why then is Christianity the most hated? What gets posted here, and Im sure even on this question will be disturbing, vile, and Evil.

Like while you're watching the movies, you hear a black person giving play-play commentary:
"Damn n!gga, don't let that muthaf*cka go inside that house! Oh dayyyummm -- you alright n!gga, you alright, just brush that dirt off yo shouldas!!! Ain't no thang but a chicken wang! AHHHHHHHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA no he didn't!!!"

Or answering the cellphone in the theaters:

At my college certain blacks sit in a section of campus and just get loud and sometimes make fun of people's clothes as they walk by.

Why do you tend to see black people act loud and rude in public?

Apparently it's "good theology" to assume that there had been absolutely NO RAIN before the Great Flood. Is that true? If so, how do you suppose Yahweh prevent precipitation for so long and why?
