Monkeys are evolving too. There are genetic mutations happening in all species. Some of those mutations may provide some evolutionary advantage, so monkeys that have the mutation go on to breed while the others die off or breed more slowly. Eventually, a new species will develop in which the mutation is the norm. By then, the new species will probably have undergone changes in several ways.
Evolution happens over millions of years, you can't see it in a lifetime, or even several lifetimes.

Monkeys still are evolving. So are humans.
Neanderthals were actually probably run extinct by the Cro-magnons, who took over the best living and hunting grounds. Neanderthals were not very adaptable to change, and they were competing with the more advanced Cro-magnons for the same resources.
Apes, on the other hand, had a different diet and different needs, so were able to distance themselves from the pre-humans and did very well.
It's not that tough a question.

Monkeys are evolving into new species of monkeys.
In between apes and man is Australopithecus.
Homo Neanderthals evolved to live in ice age conditions, they died out due to climate change. Although another possibility was that our ancestors killed them, either for food or just to eliminate a rival.

They are - just give them a million years and they could be running the planet. The neanderthals were wiped out by our ancestors, I think they were called Cro-Magnon Man.The apes have survived because thet were never inolved in the conflict between humans;they were never serious competitors because they're not very intelligent-we were probably indifferent to them.

Groups of now human ancestors could have been exposed to different things than the now primates, causing them to evolve at different rates, causing needs for change and developement, (ex. humans could have evolved in a slightly warmer climate, causing loss of most hair, and I agree that the neanderthals were most likely killed in a fight for survival against our ancestors.)

I do think that the theory of evolution is valid. But I recognise that sometimes evolution branches off down a dead end.
I doubt that has happened with monkeys and apes. Well maybe it has with some of the less hirsute apes.

Your question is a misleading one.
Evolution theory is the scientific hypothesis that is still valid and open because so far there is no evidence that can falsify this theory.
Evolution can be found every where. So far we have a number of gaps in case of human evolution.

first of all, who says they are not still evolving, they are still reproducing arnt they....
and actually chimpansees are in between monkeys and man.
neanderthal man is extinct because humans killed them when fighting for survival during the iceage.
