Hey, I'd like to be omnipotent, omnipresent, omniscient, omnificent, omnipercipient, omniparient & every other omnicrap.

The third major characteristic of God - "infinitude" - is the catchall, the universal modifier of Christian theology. God is not merely a being; he is infinite being. God is not merely good; he is infinite goodness. God is not merely wise; he is infinite wisdom. And so on down the list. God is exaggeration run amuck.

First of all you swtich between talking about Jesus and God--different beings--different characteristics.

Bro JC wasn't just handed his cool super power and stuff, but earned his stripes.

What is it that YOU have done for anyone or anything that you can claim as a basis for earning YOUR "stripes"?

I say nothing, or otherwise you wouldn't be asking this question.

What, you think that just because you--like all the rest of us--are a "child of God" that you should be handed all these kinds of things on a silver platter without earning them?

Again, what makes YOU so special over the rest of us?

Who says that you aren't "omni everything" or have the capability of having or being that? Just because you are unaware of it and/or haven't studied it out for yourself to the extent that you have a personal understanding of such things.

Certainly this didn't come from the efforts of your own thinking.

Infinity is a theory and cannot be proven or demonstrated by any mathematical or numbering system we presently have.

Half of infinity is still infinity--One plus infinity is still infinity, etc., etc., etc.

Now what?

Regards,

There is absolutely no shread of proof that your " bro...JC" had any powers. Just because a book has stories of supernatural acts, being performed by JC, doesn't make them true. All those "omni" attributes you enumerated are mere human assumptions and theories of what a god should be like. Nobody knows God.

Are you a Christian Mr. Smith? If so, then you know that we have power from God given to us freely, "They shall lay hands on the sick and they shall recover, if they drink anything deadly (without knowing it) they will not die" I personally have prayed for a woman who had one leg 6" shorter than the other with 30 witnesses and her leg grew to normal length in 5 seconds - she was healed by using the name of Jesus. I can assure you that through Christ, I have great power.

Only God can be ominpotent, omnipresent, and omniscent.

Now as to why we do not have the "cool super powers"...Jesus said if we had faith the size of a mustard seed (which is just a speck of yellow), we could literally move mountains.

WE are why we can not do great works.

Mum is an incredible introduction of God, which shows the affection and sympathy of God. She is the only way of achievement. Peoples who don't have mums, have an incredible style of psychological complexaties. we could continuously be grateful of God for introduction of mum.

Personally I think everyone has abilities that could be labeled as "supernatural" but society these days looks down on that sort of thing so most tend to supress these abilities early on and even forget about having had them.

But then people would consider us freaks and mutants or relate us to satans work, like the salem witch trials, and then we would be cursed and burned alive at the stake, or be thrown into a lake with a boulder tied to our leg. Can I have ten points please?
