Yahoo! Answers has added the block user button. We can now block individual posters so we don't see them, though everyone else will, of course.

Now, you can post but blind yourself to the responses.
Now other people will respond to things you can't read.
Now others may win contests against you that you can't perceive.
Now, if you respond to a question, there's a chance they may never notice it or receive it, because you've been blocked.

Your answers are now more meaningless than ever.

Are you going to block people you disagree with? How about that don't give the right answers? How about that have sided with someone you dislike in the past?

How close will you wear YOUR blinders? Are you one of the three monkeys (see no evil, hear no evil, speak no evil)?

rmagedon, you may answer me any way you want, any time you want (follow our host's rules, of course). I LOVE FREE SPEECH! I LOVE TRUTH!

I have faith I'll be able to tell most of it when I see it. At the same time, considering all the whining from people who've been kicked off, I can't blame Yahoo! for finally saying: "Here, you do it!"

Stalkers should be more than blocked.
I stand corrected, happily, again.

I will not use the feature, it would significantly diminish the political discourse, but of course that is who it is mostly for, those who refuse to hear the truth or something that goes against their world view, too insecure to deal with reality.

There is of course a good use, and that is people who are being stalked by these predators, who seek to oppress and intimidate women, disgusting creatures really.

Great question Mac. I appreciate your efforts in this. Speak the truth, it will never harm you.

I've blocked a stalker. One. He has nothing to offer except hate filled rants. I won't be missing a thing. ;-)
