Only good and holiness is contained in God, and his Son, and what they stand for. So why then is Christianity the most hated? What gets posted here, and Im sure even on this question will be disturbing, vile, and Evil.

Looks like Satans hold on this world is strong.

Satan has lost, but he can deceive. Jesus states they have
hated Me, they will hate you. Why are you so surprised?
Actually, this is Satan's world until the Lord Jesus the King
returns for His Church.

Because many feel as though Christianity shuts them out. Perhaps they have not actually prayed enough, or perhaps they are too skeptical and logical, but either way you put it, Christians do make an out and out effort to discriminate against certain groups. The amount and what groups can vary from branch to branch of Christianity, though.

Like, Moslims? They're basically our religious cousins. Or second cousins, at least, just like Jews. We all originate from the same source, our religions are the same in many ways, and yet there's this really bizarre hatred between us at times.

Also, homosexuals. A lot of us feel as though we're being discriminated against by the Church and just stop trying. At least for me, I didn't want to give up the Church I had been raised in and so I prayed a lot, and eventually God gave me an answer of sorts.

So, long story short? People don't like proselytisation of organisations that discriminate or appear to do so. So there's going to be a lot of nasty answers to this, probably, because people feel defensive.

Try being less judgemental and having a conversation with a 'nonbeliever'...a civil, open, two sided conversation...and I'm sure you'll both come away having learned something about what the other thinks.

The question itself suggests your answer - Christianity tends to have the most arrogant, self-righteous, and intrusive followers (at least in the U.S.). If you were born in Iran, you would suggest Islam to be TRUE religion. If you were born in Italy you would speak Italian. If you were born with some respect, you would believe whatcha want and let others believe what they want and know that no one ultimately knows spiritual truth until we meet our maker (or the end if there is none).

By the way - it is not necessarily what Christianity stands for that is hated. The foundation of most religions and spiritualitiess is fundamentally the same. It is the arrogance and disrespectful nature of some that gives any group a bad name.

"Then you will be arrested, persecuted, and killed. You will be hated all over the world because of your allegiance to me. (Mt 24:9)

Satan is the ruler of this world at this present time and he doesn't want anyone to learn the truth, just as he didn't in the Garden of Eden. If he can keep the world deceived for a little while longer, there isn't any telling of how many souls he can take to the burning infernal with him.

God Bless

I think it has something to do with that whole "MY sins are all paid for...so MY sh!t doesn't stink anymore" attitude of Christians. Oh AND their judgmental sniping at everyone who doesn't agree with them. AND the fact that traditionally Christianity is the most prejudice and barbaric religion in history (come on we're killing hundreds of thousands of brown people just because we want their oil). AND the fact the Christians seem to have a real problem keeping their noses out of other peoples business. AND the fact that Christians have an obsession with twisting the truth to fit their fantasy/world view. AND the fact that God doesn't have a son and doesn't come in three parts and anytime someone tries to point that out YOU condemn then to death.

AND I could go on and on and on.

Why do you care what others think of you anyway?

Look..
what have some of you guys answered when there were questions related to Islam?
I am so sad and angry when people say "Muhammad (saw) is a lie, and Qur'an was his writing."
but still, I never hate Christianity..I see them as a bit way off..
the bible is mixed up by God's words and human additions..
even though the comment made by Pope Benedict..
even though the Denmark cartoons..
I respect Christians..

but you guys make up the fuss people hate christianity..
look at how Islam is pictured right now by the media..
look at the Palestinians..
you guys say you're unlucky people hate your religion?
look at how you guys do nothing to help the Palestinians and the Sudanese Christians..
look at how you guys make fun of Islam and Muhammad (saw)..

what do you call that??

Ha, christians account for 2.1 billion people in the world and around 77% of the US. They are far from the most hated religion.

In fact every study on the matter has shown that atheists are the most despised and hated minority group (not just religion) in the country... Atheists are often seen as a major threat to America and are often seen as worse than muslim terrorists!

What you see on Y!A is hardly representative of the population. This does happen to be a verbal "battleground" of sorts where agnostics/atheists (which are interestingly the second largest religious group in the US, but they tend to hide to avoid persecution, discrimination, getting fired, attacked, or killed by christians) can take a stand against the immoral, ignorant, and misguided religious.

And if there is evil in this country, it is from the christians... as a christian you have a huge, irreconcilable amount of blood on your hands. When you consider that countries that are majority atheists actually have the lowest rates of crime, rape, murder, violence, stds, abortions, teen pregnancies, divorce, and other social problems - it becomes immediately visible that atheists are instead the "good" ones who are unjustly discriminated against.

The alternative to TRUTH is preferable in the marketplace, and can be exploited easily for a profit. Looks like money's hold on this world is strong. And evil is the root of all money, not vice versa!

I believe in Islam and I feel sorry for Christians especially Christian women. I think there are people who are misguided in every religion. I don't understand how God can be three people in Christianity which is why I left it and became Muslim.

okay someone just said people are close minded towards christians, please you have got to be kidding me, who was it that killed thousands in the name of the lord christian doctrines just like all other religions either animism christianity all religion is corrupt there is only one true religion to me and that is a christian group that i shall not mention because i dont want to be put off as a fanatic but i state my oppinion i think all religions other than the true religion are closed minded because they fear what they do not believe they fear others who are proclaimed witches or sons of muhamed or catholics or protestants i can go on for hours on all the persecuted religions and the close minded religions....
it all comes down to discrimination of another person whether his or hers skin color or religious beliefs...
we all just need to get along no matter our religious beliefs...
