In the Gospels we find what seems to be a resurrected Jesus, popping in and out of thin air, PHYSICALLY appearing to His disciples. This is not in disagreement with the OT. The question is, if He could do that then, why not now? God is all-powerful...and the OT says specifically that we will appear before the LORD, (a minimum of) three times per year... A staute for all time! Has anyone had that experience?

"...residents have called on authorities to reclassify the Bible as "indecent" due to its sexual and violent content, following an uproar over a sex column in a university student journal."

I know a ton of atheists at my school and it seems like they're just atheists because everyone else is becoming them. It's like a way to make them feel superior to people who think there might actually be something after this life. Seriously, how does not believing anything at all better than at least having hope and why is this just becoming another trend?

Why did Muhammad ram a 9 year old when he was 54? Maybe if Muhammad was lets say in his teens it could be considered as "normal" but 54? Now days if Muhammad did that he'd be sent to jail for having sex with a minor and be locked up for a long long time. This also is disgusting behavior considering Muhammad is considered "the best example for man kind" =S

According to young Aisha:

"My mother came to me while I was being swung on a swing between two branches and got me down. My nurse took over and wiped my face with some water and started leading me. When I was at the door she stopped so I could catch my breath. I was brought in while Muhammad was sitting on a bed in our house. My mother made me sit on his lap. The other men and women got up and left. The Prophet consummated his marriage with me in my house when I was nine years old. "

Tabari, Volume 9, Page 131

Why did this young girl have to go through that? She never had kids I wonder why.... ='(

I informed him that I am acquainted with people from his area in Nigeria who were educating me on his culture and he dropped out of sight, then proceeded to have a "driver" text me he had been sent to the hospital after dropping sick. Very suspicious behavior, I must say. According to my Nigerian friends, he was probably in the midst of trying to con me into coming to the states with my help (not neccessarily financial, but just help with connection) and realized he could be found out when I said I had connections in his area. Oh well. Thank you for trying to help and I will not be so quick to anger with my next replies, should there be any more connections.

[---excerpt from USA Today]

A full 66 percent said they believed in creationism, with 39 percent of those polled saying it was definitely true and 27 percent believing it was probably true.

But 53 percent said they believed in evolution, the scientific theory that humans developed over millions of years from less advanced forms of life. Eighteen percent said evolution was definitely true, while 35 percent said it was probably true.

The results were released in a USA Today/Gallup poll of 1,007 adults, taken between June 1-3. The margin of error was three percent.

I am a commited athiest. With all my heart and brain, i believe that we are biological creatures. We are created(sex), we live, if our genetics and social structure allow, we die, of old age or through accident or similar.
With everything I know, i utterly disbelieve that ANY religion is true, meaning that they are ALL false.

We have ONE life. WE have our ID(soul). When we die, we are gone, our brain stops functioning and we are no more.

Is it not true that WE ATHEISTS, who don't belive that life everlasting is waiting for us are more likley to moral people, to hold onto this life with everyhting we have?

If i believe i will be saved on my death bed, as a life long serial killer or abuser or whatever, by truly being sorry, does that not make me a worse person?

I live my life as best as i can, with my wife and my children, is this not truly the moral high ground?
Does this not make more sense than believeing God or Mohammend will look after me in the next?

I have been looking though questions on this website- of course, there are people who disagree with other people regarding religion/spirituality, but I've come across many, many questions that are so immature and offensive, ESPECIALLY towards the Catholic Church.

Did they have some kind of traumatic life experience that turned them away from all organized religion, or is it just that they weren't loved enough as a child, so now they can't love the world in return? (I know both of those sound sarcastic, but I'm serious!)

It seems like people are angry, confused, and well, ignorant...

Being Roman Catholic and reading through this site, I found an unbelieveable number of misconceptions about th Church:

We DON'T hate homosexuals!
We DON'T worship Mary OR saints!
We DON'T believe that the only way to be forgiven is through a priest!

I mean, the list goes on and on!

Don't get me wrong, It's not just about Catholics, but that's what caught my eye.

Anyone understand why?

If I am a Pentecostal Holiness believer and my boyfriend is a Baptist believer, but we both believe that Jesus dies for our sins and we believe in the book of Acts in speaking in tongues and dancing and allowing the Lord to use us, we also both agree in faith as far as anointing the head with oil…is concerned… are we considered unequally yoked? I think we are not because he is a believer and so am I. We just attend diverse churches…

I'll start from primary school. I came into the london when I was about 10 or less. Basically I was a free spirit - I hardly knew any english but I made tons of friends (who I don't think i can call friends since they were actually making fun of me). Anyways by the time i got to secondary school I was quite fluent. This meant I understood more of the insults and everything. I also knew that I was gay from a young age - so when people around me were using the word 'gay' as way of insulting people - it hurt me even though it wasn't always directed at me. In addition to it - I was made fun of for my colour - I'm quite dark. This hurt the most. I sort of went in a state where I'd become defensive about anything. I easily get angry with people at home right now. The peace of mind that I was in when I younger is completly gone - my confidence is barely alive. I 'm going into university next year and i want to change back to that old care free self. When I knew how to make friends. Any Ideas?

This is a sincere question. Also, if you wear jeans do you wear a shirt over them, since jeans can be fairly tight and revealing? Men are becoming more and more immodest.
