Interracial marriage between one man and one woman is perfectly fine in the sight of God's eyes.

There is no Biblical and scriptural basis against interracial marriage. Your friend simply has a prejudice that he must learn to deal with.

God is No Respecter of Person and is mentioned in both Old and New Testaments! See Acts 10, Leviticus 19:15. Christians are not to be unequally yoked with Non-Beleivers! 2nd Corinthians 6:14...Romans 1, Luke 11:36-44.Acts 19:37-39.

There is no scripture to support interracial marriage as being wrong.

God is only concerned about spiritual separation of the believer and nonbeliever when it comes to marriage. Do not be unequally yoked. 2 Cor 6:14

In and of itself, there is nothing wrong with it. Other than instructions to Jews not to marry non-Jews, there are no Scriptural references condeming this.

Sometimes the bigots take 2 Corinthians 6:14 out of context. If they read the entire verse, they can clearly see that "light" and "dark" refer to spiritual states. Light refers to those who have accepted Christ as their savior, repented of their sins, and has the Holy Spirit living in them. Dark here refers to those who haven't accepted Christ in their lives and are still living in sin. This is not a reference to skin color.

Then there are those who misuse the passage in Genesis where Noah's son Ham entered the tent when his father was passed out drunk and naked. While the passage doesn't say much, there may have been some homosexual lust involved, but I cannot prove it. Anyway, a curse was placed upon the son of Ham. So Caanan had the curse, not Ham. It could be that the "curse" was passed educationally and/or by example. This one incident could have been an example of numerous similar things and his son may have followed in his example. If you trace out Caanan's family line, it continues on to the founder of Sodom. So, with this understanding, the issue is not race, but sexual behavior.

I think your friend is misinterpreting the Bible. The Old Testament states that you're not suppose to marry someone of an "unequal yolk", which basically means of a different religion. But that's only because your religious differences may cause marital problems in the future or ultimately inhibit your spiritual growth. I honestly can't recall any scripture in the Bible stating that you can't marry inter-racially.

There is not one scriptural reference against interracial marriage.

Some people cite the ones where God commanded the Israelites not to marry peoples of certain other lands, but that had to do with the paganism of those others - marriages would cause compromise.

Solomon was told not to marry unGodly women - after 300 wives and 700 concubines, he mixed in women of all sorts of backgrounds. This caused Solomon to compromise and brought his downslide.

Interracial marriages are fine. Besides, you want who God wants for you, right?

There are no scriptures to give showing interracial marriage is wrong in God's eyes. There are scriptures against being unequally yoked with unbelivers, that's about it. My wife's latina and I thank God for her every day.

PS Moses was in an interacial marriage and his brother and sister got in trouble for their attitude towards his wife (among other things)

Num 12:1 And Miriam and Aaron spake against Moses because of the Ethiopian woman whom he had married: for he had married an Ethiopian woman.

Nothing wrong with it. There is no scriptural support for the ban. The Dutch Reformed Church in South Africa had "justifications" for apartheid, so if you are looking for something to support his view, then you may do some searches on that on the Internet.

Anyone who makes you feel or tells you that it's wrong needs to just grow up. It's your choice I'm white and I prefer black men I know many people that are the same way they prefer to date outside of race. It's only skin and skin doesn't change the person a person can be good or bad regardless of race or religion.

There is nothing wrong with an interracial marriage. I'm American and am married to an Arab and I think ALLAH(SWT) is fine with that. I don't think any holy text says anything against interracial marriages. The Bible just says believers should not be unequally yoked meaning they shouldn't marry non Christians.
