Shouldn't we have a holiday - just one day - where we all agree to only ask and answer in respectful ways? No calling the other people dumb. Challenging questions would be perfectly welcome, but no "Why are Christians/Atheists such retards?" types of questions.

When should be the Official R&S No Name-Calling Day?

I'm talking about true witchcraft..Not as an "occult" or anything like that..Does it bother you, and if so ; Why? or Why not? As long as it's not harming anyone, what does it hurt? It doesn't mean someone worships Satan or doesn't believe in God..All answers will be considered equally, Thanks!

It could be the sanctuary of your parish church. It could be a place you visited once on vacation but you feel you must get back and experience that awe again. It could be a place of solitude. It could be you favorite easy chair.

Regardless of belief, where is a place that refreshes your mind and your heart?

For me, there is a park in Boston called the Arboretum. 265 acres beautifully landscaped with exotic plants and trees from all over the world. It's city property but maintained by Harvard. It is so beutiful because one minute your in the city, the next your lost in the woods. You can be in utter silence or you can see the most beautiful view of Boston's skyline. I can go there for hours and read and think, and it is always a re-energizing exercise.

Feel free to be specific as you want.

If you are not a believer in Christ Jesus, how do you keep them from harming you? Christians are protected by the sword of the Spirit which is the Word of God, and the indwelling Holy Spirit.

God orders the rape of innocent virgin girls
Has innocent babies bashed to pieces before their parent's
Drowns billions of people in the world
Death and hell to all that do not follow his orders
God directly says also how to treat slaves and if they defy their master to put them to death
God approves of incest several times even after he order us to stop incest.
These are all true from the bible
What super happy bible and God are you all reeading about?

Religion and science disagree on this one.

Do you think humans are animals ? Why or why not ?

I believe we are. It is true that we are superior to any other living creature when it comes to intelligence, but we eat, need shelter, reproduce and need to go to the bathroom, just like every other animal on this planet. We have all the basic instincts that animals have. We are just more complex.

This opinion bothers religion, I know, but I think that people use the religions of the world to preach that we are above animals, but what religious people really do is tell others do as I say, not as I do.

So, what do you think ?

( P.S.: Let's respect eachother's opinions please! Don't give thumbs down just because you disagree with another person. Thanks. )

There are thousands of religions still being practiced in this world, and others being created every day. Then we must consider those who have outgrown religious dogma, such as atheists. Why do these brainwashed, wagon jumpers think anyone wants to hear their brand of mythology? Do they not understand that many of us have already learned their dogma, studied the concepts, and dismissed it as useless fables?

How did God come to exist?

Why do you believe in God and not Zeus, Allah, Thor, or any other deity?

"Either God wants to abolish evil, and cannot; or he can, but does not want to. If he wants to, but cannot, he is impotent. If he can, but does not want to, he is wicked. If God can abolish evil, and God really wants to do it, why is there evil in the world?"

Okay I'm Catholic and I had my first communion not long ago and I will be having my confirmation this sunday and I need to know how often to confess because I don't want to take in the body of Christ if I have sins that need to be needed to confess first.
How do I know what sins are bad enough for confession again or how often to confess?
