If I am a Pentecostal Holiness believer and my boyfriend is a Baptist believer, but we both believe that Jesus dies for our sins and we believe in the book of Acts in speaking in tongues and dancing and allowing the Lord to use us, we also both agree in faith as far as anointing the head with oil…is concerned… are we considered unequally yoked? I think we are not because he is a believer and so am I. We just attend diverse churches…

As far as your basic knowledge of Jesus, no. But, if either one of you are firm about certain doctrinal beliefs, this could cause problems. But, it seems that many of your beliefs are in agreement.

If you two are considering a life together in marriage, these are very serious issues to address. Then, there is the issue of where your home church would be (the two are one, right?).

The biggest issues are covered by "what does the Bible say?" Just keep praying and seek the Lord for everything. Remember Proverbs 3:5-6, "Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways acknowledge Him and He will make your paths straight."

The Lord has all understanding and knowledge. Regardless of your diverse doctrines and congregations, God knows each of you and your futures. Amen? Seek Him.

All you need to do is re-read 2 Corinthians 6:14. It says not to be unequally yoked with an unbeliever. You said both of you are believers. In my opinion, a denomination has little to do with your actual faith. Good luck!

it incredibly is conversing approximately Christians and non-Christians. Christians ought to in basic terms date/marry Christians, as seen right here: 2 Corinthians 6:14-15 don't be unequally yoked with unbelievers. For what partnership has righteousness with lawlessness? Or what fellowship has gentle with darkness? (15) What accord has Christ with Belial? Or what element does a believer proportion with an unbeliever? The final verse makes it sparkling. Even from a mundane view, relationship somebody with a distinctive concept set than yours is basically soliciting for issues. people who marry from distinctive religions and/or cultures have a lots larger fee of divorce.

As a married woman who discovered the lack of mutual spirituality my marriage has become (takes 2 to tango), your unequally yoked would be my bliss. To discuss Jesus with your spouse!!!
To have such similar beliefs about who He is and who He is to you is an awesome gift. The religion and the churches are an outward manifestation of your love for your mutual higher power.
The semantics of attending church (especially if you take turns attending each other's church) is another outward sign of your belief. With this beginning, you both may grow to appreciate the differences in your religions and grow together. Blessings -

Unequally yoked pertains to a believer with a nonbeliever. Although you differ in certain areas, I would hope you are both bible believers.

You both love the Lord, and want to do His will, so no, I don't believe you are unequally yoked.

I would say that if you are attending two different churches then there is something unequal about that yoke.

There is division between you two. There should be no division in the church according to the bible. The bible calls the whole denominational structure of the church Babylon, which begins with the Catholic church who is Mystery Religion, Babylon the Great, the Mother of Harlots and Abominations of the Earth. The Harlots are the divisions within the Protestant church, that came out their Mother, the Catholic church.

This structure becomes worse at the end of the ages. Revelation 18:2 And he cried mightily with a strong voice, saying, Babylon the great is fallen, is fallen, and is become the habitation of devils, and the hold of every foul spirit, and a cage of every unclean and hateful bird.

Revelation 17:16 And the ten horns which thou sawest upon the beast, these shall hate the whore, and shall make her desolate and naked, and shall eat her flesh, and burn her with fire. The doctrines of the New World Order are being preached today in the churches in order to eliminate the authority that the word of God has in the earth. The church is the subject of propaganda in that it is portrayed as insipid, vacuous, close-minded, and ineffectual in dealing with the problems of the world, but all the while it's doctrine has been and is being replaced by the doctrines of the new world order so that when the Beast is ready to take control those still in the system will accept him as the Messiah.

God is going to judge Babylon and so we are commanded to come out of her that we receive not of her plagues.

Revelation 18:4 And I heard another voice from heaven, saying, Come out of her, my people, that ye be not partakers of her sins, and that ye receive not of her plagues.
5 For her sins have reached unto heaven, and God hath remembered her iniquities.
6 Reward her even as she rewarded you, and double unto her double according to her works: in the cup which she hath filled fill to her double.
7 How much she hath glorified herself, and lived deliciously, so much torment and sorrow give her: for she saith in her heart, I sit a queen, and am no widow, and shall see no sorrow.
8 Therefore shall her plagues come in one day, death, and mourning, and famine; and she shall be utterly burned with fire: for strong is the Lord God who judgeth her.

The body of Christ is still on the earth and will remain until the last trumpet sounds. There won't be a next day, no one is going to have a second chance to repent and believe in Jesus, because he isn't coming back to reign on this earth for a thousand years. When he comes back this world will be destroyed and we will reign with him forever in the New Jerusalem. There is little time left in which his bride will be able to prepare herself, to cleanse her hands and purify her heart. I urge you and your husband to unite as one in the Lord and come out of Babylon before it's too late.

When one is unequally yoked, it is because one is a believer in Christ, and the other isn't.

You are not unequally yoked.

No. Just make sure your doctrinal differences don't mean more to you than each other.
