They are a cult not because of this. They are a cult because of the things they believe.

Although they, like most 1st Great Awakening cults and all others afterword, are bound to the judgement of heresy, Jehovah Witnesses do follow the Great Commission. They "go out preaching." But like I said they are preaching mostly heretical information that will mostly likely lead you astray from the Truth.

My friends and I invite Jehovah Witnesses over to preach the truth to them, there always willing and they always come in twos. You should try it.

no, not a cult...also, just to clarify something, feLony, you do not get "expelled" for not going witnessing, thats rediculous. I am a jehovahs witness. And this "punnishment room" is absurd as well, if someone is disfellowshipped, it is because they have committed serious sin and refuse to be repentant... serious sin would be, adultery, fornication, violent behaviour, commiting crimes... things which are definately not of Gods standards. You can only if be disfellowshipped if you are a baptised jehovahs witness.... to be baptised you must study, dedicate your self to God and promise to do his will, it involves a mature decision... hence why we dont baptise children. If someone behaves in a way contrary to their dedication and promise to serve God in a wholesouled clean way, why would they mind being disfellowshipped, obviously their dedication means nothing to them anyway. And someone is not just disfellowshipped, they have encouraging conversations with brothers in the congregation who try to help them first, and assist them in any way they can to correct their course. you only get disfellowshipped if you down right refuse to act in a way befitting God... hence you are no longer a Jehovah's witness. Witnessing is a requirement of serving God wholesouled as Jesus himself said to go therefore and make deciples.... if you don't though, there is no punnishment, as witnessing should be done willingly... and how does anyone really know if you do or dont go anyway.... Felony needs straight facts, and obviously the guy you liked wasnt a true witness if he fed you these lies

Yes, and their teachings are not Biblical. They believe in working your way into Heaven, They teach that they must work hard to earn their salvation. That is the reason they are so zealous and dedicated. JW's say that after the Old Testament heroes have been brought back, then the "other sheep" will be raised. First they say the soul dies when the body dies, then they talk about these O.T. saints raising, That sure is strange.

Kinda...It is really annoying! I studied as a Jehovah Witness for 2 years...they make you do it. (I only studied because I liked a guy who was a witness) The sad part is they ***** about doing it but smile in our face... Hypocrites! Did you know that if you do not go door to door you get expelled? meaning you have to sit in a room on punishment from the rest of the witnesses until they "vote" you back in?

No. I don't think for that reason alone they are a cult. It is part of their "training" to spread the word of Jehovah, much like "training " in CCD classes for Catholics.

Personally, i don't believe in any organized religion, but i think it is very important to understand them all.

Noah visited his neighbors uninvited too. Too bad they all drowned because they ignored his warning about the upcoming flood.

No

The apostles did it.
Act 20:20 And how I kept back nothing that was profitable unto you, but have showed you, and have taught you publicly, and from house to house,

Actually, most churches want their sheep to go door to door.
But it doesn't work for them. Most people just want to go to one Sunday service and call it good.

Really have no problems with the Jehovas witness'. They offer you liturature, you politely decline, and they politely tell you to have a nice day. They dont insist you to listen to their views.
