Fellow Christians, can we give these people some clean jokes that prove we love humor, and know how to use it? Preferably short jokes.

Because Exodus 32:19 clearly states:

"And it came to pass, as soon as he came nigh unto the camp, that he saw the calf, and the dancing: and Moses' anger waxed hot, and he cast the tables out of his hands, and brake them beneath the mount."

So, they were destroyed before ANYONE could take a look at them. Moses could have made up new ones on the spot. Edited them or even added or subtracted as he pleased.
Do you have ANY evidence that the commandments that are in your bible, are the same ones Moses first recieved?

When referring to the coming of the Holy Spirit, Jesus said, "And I will ask the Father, and He will give you another Comforter, that He may be with you forever".

The Greek term translated "another" is "allos".

Vine's Expository Dictionary of New Testament Words says the following -

Allos expresses a numerical difference and denotes "another of the same sort;" HETEROS expresses a QUALITATIVE difference and denotes "another of a different sort." (caps for emphasis)

Therefore, if the Lord Jesus employed "allos" to refer to the Holy Spirit as a Comforter who was "another of the same sort", i.e. the same as Him, then how can the Holy Spirit be an impersonal, "active force" such as electricity, as the Watchtower teach ? That would make the Lord Jesus an impersonal, "active force", also.

Comments, please ?

I didn't jump off the turnip truck yesterday but, still, I am surprised by the number of "straight" guys on this site who are so eager to reach into the depths of themselves and come back with either false information or homophobic remarks about gay men. Hmmmmm. I wonder why.

I just live my life like anyone else. I try to be kind and compassionate toward others. I make mistakes and mess up just like everyone else. I'm definately not dangerous. I just believe in Jesus Christ and don't agree with other beliefs or lack of belief. What is so dangerous about that?

People who aren't Christian say they are Christian. There is only one way, and that's the way that Jesus told us 2000 years ago. There are no other agents, no ghosts, no statues, no missionary men, no no no no!!!!!!! It's Jesus Christ.

A lot of this crap started in the 1960's when I came back from Korea. you would see formerly good people smoking this stuff and talking weird. People trying to hit on my wife, a good woman who loved my leadership and manliness. Manliness was not about watching men loving other men with a video! It was taking care of your family and leading!

It's bad enough to have atheists leading people and breaking up marriages, taking our schools away and leading this country which was founded on Jesus Christ away from the only people that matter the Christians.

Now you have them lying to gain political favor and money!

I was watching Most haunted on ftn the other day, and I was just wondering he says he meets ghosts like that are 'lonley and sad' but im just wondering so if there are ghosts there obviosully is a God cause afterlife cant just ahppen, so im wondering to all you ghost believers why people turn into ghosts instead of go to heaven, hell or pugatory.

I'm a catholic, so I believe in God. I don't know whether to believe in ghosts or not, it doesn't seem right, Yes the Holy ghost, but ghosts in genral, friends have claimed to see them, but It's still kinda unclear to me.

Wearing diapers for me is an emotional need. I always have needed them at night for bedwetting ever since I was little. Now I wear them because it makes me feel emotionally grounded and safe and secure and content. However some co-workers know and they tease me. I ignore them but they still make mean comments. I don't want to tell my boss because I'm not sure if she knows I wear them. Plus I don't have medical reasoning for doing so. What do I do?

Are you SURE of yourself?

I find it most entertaining that each post there is one who says "STOP TELLING ME WHAT I BELIEVE" or that "YOU CAN'T TELL ME WHAT I BELIEVE", but you can tell ME what to post. LOL! Right. I'm just glad to get 5 points per question and at the same time Demonstrate that Language meanings Change because there are no Original People in the World anymore. Why not just overtly call yourselves H.O.G.s (Haters of God) or come up with something new?? Please do understand, I cannot TELL anyone how to believe, so for you to take it that way reveals alot of you.....

Peace

It is impossible for nature to produce information. Nature produces patterns, but no information. For example, if you read "John Loves Mary" on a sandy beach, you can reason that nature didn't create it, but that a smart person(s) did. My point is that DNA is also information, it is a 4 letter alphabet that gives instructions for the body. Therefore, DNA "communicates" to us that there is an intellignet life out there---God.

As an analogy: In the movie "Contact", scientists scanned the sky and after much scanning, they recieved prime numbers in the signals, as a result, they reasoned that the numbers couldn't have happened by chance, but were the result of an intelligent life, same applies to God and DNA.

Lee Strobel ----check his "proofs of God" out on youtube.

I was just reading a question that had a religious joke about heaven and baptists and such and i saw this answer:

"Join islam now infidel and accept the word of allah and mohammed. Live halal or burn in the fires of damnation like a dog. Submit to the will of Allah. PBUS Al saalam malekem. Allahu Akhbar"

So, what do you think? Christians may sometimes be annoying, but this is ridiculous!!
