Because they are fools?

Because people want to describe vague concepts in forms that they are familiar with.

Show me the elemental particle of love - a lovon - and I will apologise.

I think that people are born with the instinct to find love and to love and not to hate or fear. I think hate, anger and fear are taught as they grow. Babies are completely dependent on their parents or another adult to food and safety. Babies cry for their needs but when their needs are met they automatically recognize it and love that person who fills their needs. They love automatically without question. They don't learn fear or hate unless/until the adult hits or yells and scares them. This is a learned behavior, not a natural instinct.

I don't see love as a "force of nature like gravity" but an emotion or a natural instinct that we are born with. The negative emotions are later learned emotions/behaviors.

i think human 'love' could be compared to, say, plants' need to survive and reproduce, or earth revolving around the sun, or the water cycle. 'Love' is just a term we used to explain a human instinct. So, in a way, love is a "force of nature". It's a motivator.

I think you're equating poetry with science. These are not forces of nature, but they are motivators for human actions. There's a big difference.

It is the very nature of God Almighty and will be the one attribute that will carry us over into the next life with Christ. Those who do not have it by the Spirit of God will not be carried over there but will go where the hateful of God go..
