Did Yahoonus Rex slowly adapt to its environs, or was Yahoo conceived by a divine spark?

It is, of course, the result of evolution. Some people, fearing the unknown, may well feel that there is some supernatural intelligence behind it, and develop complicated theories and practices that millions, seeking comfort, will embrace. It's happened before.

With most everyone answering: “both” – I’ll opt for “yes”. Short – Sweet & to the point. I pray to the intelligent designer that thunk up “Yahoonus Rex” in the first place, that I’m right.

first there was a divine spark
in the mind of its creator
then it was intelligently designed
then it evolved.
