Here's a news flash: Christians are not the only ones who believe in a god. And atheists don't so much have beliefs as a lack of a belief in a supreme, magical deity. But if you want to know why there are battles over religion, well, the Christians really would be the ones to ask, considering how many they've started over their religion in the past 2,000 years.

Between different religions there is a battle because each claims to represent the absolute truth and all others are wrong. Atheists battle to reveal to people that they are believing in fiction. Atheists have no belief and hence no God so it's not exactly a battle they can leave to an imaginary character.

There is more to it than that. Muslems have their beliefs and Hindus have their beliefs and Buddhists have their beliefs and Shintoists have their beliefs and so on and so on. Wars between religions and worse between religious factions that more-or-less believe the same things, but with minor differences have been the leading cause of death in the world.

By removing religion from the equation, or any irrational belief system, the world could be a more peaceful place.

nicely it is an quite complicated question. Technically via believing in technological understanding and in God you would be a deist. Deists are no longer Christians. in case you have self belief that God created the universe yet then has no longer something to do with it, you're a deist. even with what some say, believing in evolution and Christianity is an quite contradictory perception. you may make the argument that atheists have no way of explaining how the Universe became into created. yet technically neither are you able to. you could say that God created the universe, yet what created God? So now we are returned to the commencing up because of the fact neither facet is acquainted with what the commencing up became into. additionally, you misquoted Steven Hawking. He became right into a training atheist. a number of his rates have been misused via some non secular people. in case you examine the entire textual content around some rates that are used you will comprehend what he became into asserting. to answer the 1st question, there's a conflict because of the fact they contradict eachother. some Christians at the instant are understanding that evolution is a reality, and attempt to characteristic it to their faith.

Religion has ruled men's hearts for all of history. There is no right or wrong answer to who's right in their beliefs or who to believe in (if there is anyone). Of course we all know wars have been fought because at those times, nobody had abundant materials to worry about (like nowadays), so religion played a Major role.
