I agree with you!!
For the past year, I've listened to comments like the ones posted. They lump all Christians together and judge all of us as one and the same, instead of getting to know us personally.
If we did that to a person of another religion or an atheist, or a person of another race, we would be wrong. But, somehow it's acceptable to hate Christians.
To me, it's scary how people believe that all Christians are alike. We're not. And I really wish that people would realize that not every Christian is out there with an agenda to force our views on everyone else.
I also feel that what has happened is that the people that hate Christianity want to lump us all together. If they can get people to hate all Christians and our religion, then they won't want anything to do with it.
After all, if you disagree with my viewpoint, do you consider all Christians to be narrow minded, or are you willing to consider that we may all be different and not everyone who is a Christian feels thinks and feels the same?
For those opposed to Christianity, when you can treat us as individuals instead of a collective, than you have risen above racism.

There is nothing dangerous about it- I think what they are saying is that being a christian, is going to cause us to someday be martyred and locked up- where as many christians in other countries are being treated this way. It is the truth!
The truth always causes hate, because Jesus said that they hated Him first.
There is nothing dangerous about being a christian- but completely opposite- it is only PEACE that abounds and NO fear of sin and hell.
NO fear of man!
Jesus Christ has set us free from all of that. People that do not want to believe will make up any excuse to make us look bad.
Just keep on trusting the Lord! Sharing His wonderful truth!

Because they have seen what Christians from America were capable of doing, and still do.
You can even transvesty Slavery or drop two nuclear weapons where there were many innocent civilians(infants & women) as a very christian business.
Any rights that others have are not to respect,if they aren't anyway christian righteous values, and if no more than "going to Church" is left of others freedoms...some christians would not care less.In fact some are very active in that the only doors left open are those of a Christian totalitarian State.
Different ideology, same Nazi or Communist strategy.

The reason people say Christianity in the US is dangerous is because they see radical Christians preaching intolerance and in some cases violence. They fear wars such as the Iraq War are being justified in the name of a Christian God. It's the same with why people say Islam is dangerous. An Islam girl out their is just like you but believes that Muhummad was the last prophet. She isn't dangerous but the radicals in her religion are getting all the attention.

The danger comes when others, like Christianity, decides for all of us that they are right and we are wrong. The problem comes when a group of religious "tards" decides what is right and what isn't, and they use their believes as what is right for all. The problem comes when they start tossing their book out as proof that they are right. I'm right because this book said I was and this book is right because I believe it is.
I am not Christian, surprise there, I don't care what they believe but I do care when they invade my rights to my beliefs.
Christianity was the biggest, bloodiest take over in the world of religion that any has ever seen. Death to those who do not believe the way we do. That is what brought you into power today. Your prince of peace was placed upon his throne by death and destruction of your fellow man (woman).

It's when Christians try to effect legislature that reflects their religious beliefs that things get sticky. Christianity isn't the problem. Christians, a core minority of them known as fundamentalists, are the problem.
They want to tell people how to live, they the government to make decisions for the populace that are personal and individual. (Prayer in pubilc schools should be mandatory, no gay marriage, Creationism taught in public schools at taxpayer expense, etc.) They theink that the US Constitution is secondary to the Bible, and they think that everyone else should be forced to live by God's law. (No seperation of Church and State.) Their God's law, of course. None of the others count.

It's dangerous when any one religion thinks that they are the ONLY religion and that their people are the ONLY people in this country that count. It is dangerous when this group of religious people try to interfere in the governing of this country and try to make it amenable to them only. It is dangerous when they want to force their religion and practices on everyone, not caring that we do not believe their way. It is dangerous when they infiltrate politics and try to rewrite laws to have things go their Christian way. It is dangerous when they try to force public schools to allow their ignorant beliefs to be taught to all children...Christian or not...making getting a decent, public-funded education impossible.

Here are some Christian beliefs that hurt other people:
Gay people should be jailed or killed.
Stem cell research is against God's Laws
Condoms are evil, even though they prevent disease.
Prayer heals better than medicine.
Women should not have the right to control their own bodies.
Women should not have equal rights.
Sex education should not be taught to children.
People are sinners and unworthy of God's love.
People who are mentally ill are demon-possessed.
If someone is not healed of an illness, it is because they lack faith.
Laws should be enacted to force even non-Christians to live by the Christian rules (e.g., sex, drinking, etc.).

The danger is confusing America with any religion. The United States of America is NOT a christian country and is not based on any particular religion. There must be a separation of church and state.

well im not a christian but, as long as u r not spewing bible quotes and hellfire and damnation at me or flying planes into buildings full of ppl youre ok by me. sometimes though, ppl who are over passionate in thier belief that everyone else is wrong, can be extremely dangerous. you only need to open a history book to see that.
