You and I both have 5 senses: Sight, Smell, Taste, Touch, and Hearing. I cannot utilize any of these senses to perceive a "god." Why, then, should I believe that one exists? Do not give me BS about the importance of faith, I've heard it all before.

And to those who are going to bring up First Cause theory, saying "OMG, What caused the Big Bang?! It must be God!!"

...I don't know what caused it. Not everything on Earth has a KNOWN answer. There IS a logical, scientific reason behind the Big Bang Theory, we just haven't discovered it yet. I am compelled more to spend my life pondering a scientific theory than to blindly accept that some random deity created the universe.

And, please, spare the humor.

I can understand needing help thru a bad spell, but if you've been on welfare for more than a year, I think it's time you got your *** in gear. I just want someone who's been enjoying these "government" benefits to admit that they are getting something for nothing at the expense, blood, sweat, and tears of hardworking Americans working 2 and 3 jobs to not only make ends meet, but to pay their taxes so that people like you can sit on their butts and have kids that they can't afford to take care of. I guess my question is, when you get that welfare check, do you even FOR ONE MINUTE stop to think about the sacrifices that others are making just so that you can continue be lazy?

Atheists... do you believe in ghosts, spirits, or demons? I guess you dont because you don't believe in God, therefore there is no such thing as the "other side", correct? So what do you make of exorcisms, psycics, spirits of dead family members, people who claim to have seen "the light" close to death, people who have had visions...

You would deny gays the right to marry the one they love.

How would you feel if the power of the state was used to refuse you the right to marry the one you love?

Serious question on society and culture.

There is clear evidence of defaming intelligence, academia, and a general mood of disparaging scientific methodologies in films, tv, and online media from the USA. Clever students are called geeks and nerds, medical research is attacked from religious nuts, science and technology are sometimes blamed for all the world's ills.

Hollywood fiction is preferred over actual history, the etymology of words in the English language is ridiculously quoted and perpetuated (e.g. I recently read that "History" is apparently derived from his and story because it's a male-dominated world!), and religious dogma over-rules scientific evidence. It must be the only country on the planet whose citizens seriously question the evolution of life. Learning a 2nd language is discouraged, and geography is limited to one continent. There are so many examples of perpetuating this culture of ignorance, it's impossible to list. What do you think?

Initiate to find logic / sounding answer when you couldn’t answer/don’t know the answer to non-believer asked your religion question, rather than saying “I believe in God” , ”I have Faith”.

Question like this

If God of Genesis is Omnipotent, Omniscience, Omnipresent, and Benevolent why Satan is exist ?

I think , engaging in Healthy discussion would open our eyes ( I think no need to eat forbidden fruit to open our eyes ), hearts, door to peace. I believe, non-believer would accept your answer if your answer is logic and sound. Who would know, they might start have Faith in your religion.

Healthy discussion please.

So i don't talk much to him, its just the way it is. I dont hate my dad, i just prefer if i give myself some space. So yea,do you hate it when your parents traits come out in you every now and again?

If it's really true that "Creation is Religion & Evolution is Science", and Evolution is the only option for an atheist, what is the naturalistic, logical, scientific explanation for atheists to be in the Religion section of Yahoo! Answers?

Isn't it ironic when people in the Religion section are blamed for proselytizing by atheists who choose to verbally harrass? In other words, are atheists truly able to play by their own rules?

If the vast majority of voters in a democratic system belong to one religion.

And the vast majority of political candidates belong to the same religion.

And the vast majority of candidates who win their elections belong to the same religion.

And the vast majority of politicians who vote for legislation belong to the same religion.

And the laws they pass are consistent with that same religion, tho' denying other religions the freedom to perform their marriages as they see fit?

And as the courts begin to accept that the Constitution guarantees -all- religions freedom, and not just "Christianity", so too does the ever-increasing noise about "activist judges" by, all together now, people belonging to this same religion.

And is it not strange that those who once enjoyed a position of privilege because of race are now trying to enjoy a position of privilege because of their religion?

Is not a "theocracy" a power-structure benefitting members of one religion?

i dont i consider myself like many argentines dont consider themselfs hispanic i think its because our background is italian and spanish and we dont look hispanic like some other people do look for example mexicans, bolivians, and perubians, ect. but sometimes i think people get offended when us argentines say we're not latin but its the truth because if you see the majority of the argentine population it is european as in meaning the people look whiter and blonder than most latin american countries do and not to mention how the country looks and our culture

do you agree with me or not anyways this is not something i want to just state it's just for me to know what people think. and i also wanted to say i have a lot of mexican and bolivian friends who agree with me.
