Can someone translate this into Latin for me?

'What's in a name?'

[I tried online translators, and they only gave me the first and last words]

The problem is that 'What's in a name?' is an idiom - you're not really asking what a name contains, but what it's worth.

Apollo's is a good literal translation, but it's meaningless in Latin.

If you want to have the Latin mean the same as the English, it would be:

Quis aestimatio nomen est.

Quid in nomen est?

Translations can vary by different words that could be used. consistent words however should be some form of nomen and est.
Est is the verb and is at the end, the Romans liked to do it that way.
nomen is the accusative singular of name,
quid means what(also you might use some form of qui)
there is no "a" or "the" in Latin

That's Spanish, Spanish is called Latin too, but you're not talking about translating English to Spanish you want it in Latin......I tried too, but it doesn't come up with anything...

Quid in nomine est?

Note: in + accusative = "into"
so I used the ablative instead

(Added):
I agree that it is somewhat pointless to translate an idiom into another language. However, I don't feel that mine is any more or less meaningful than yours (sorry, just defending my answer).

Either way, please, don't have it tattooed on your body : )
