He was right there ! Some took him by the hand as the waves dashed high. Some met him for the first time. Some still ignored him because they still had blinders on their eyes. But you can rest asure he was with each any every person and event.

Okay..so here is the gist of the bible and why innocent people suffer.
Genesis 3:1-5- This scripture states what happened with Adam and Eve. God created them, gave them a beautiful paradise to fill the earth with their offsprings and make the whole earth into a paradise (cuz at the time it was only Garden of Eden that was a paradise). But then God told them they could not eat the fruit off of the tree of knowledge of good and bad. Was this an ordinary fruit like the rest of the fruits in Eden? yes!!! BUT! It represented something. It represented God's right to rule. If they ate the fruit, they would disown God as their ruler and sin and die. If they didn't, they would live a beautiful live forever. The consequences were clear. But Satan challenged that. Satan told Eve that God lied and that she would not die if she ate the fruit! Satan said she would become independent! And make her own decisions on what was right and wrong. So Adam and Eve listened to Satan and ate the fruit. Doing so, they disobeyed God and chose the path of sin. So at Romans 5:12 it says through one man, sin entered into the world and death through sin. So since we are all Adam and Eve's offspring we have inherited sin and grow old and die. So since Satan challenged God's authority, God did not destroy him. God let Satan rule the earth to prove who would bring true happiness, God or Satan. 1 John 5:19 says, "The whole world is lying in the power of the wicked one." The wicked one is Satan. So we look at history, has man been able to rule? No, we have more problems now than ever! Wars, famine, death, global warming. God is not responible for these things. But soon he will destroy all wickedness and fulfill his original purpose of a paradise earth. HAve you ever thought what if Adam and Eve didn't sin? Where would we be today? In paradise, living in harmony with God as our rightful soveriegn ruler.

The Lord was sitting on His throne and He was not surprised at what happened. All those who perished in the Tsunami and Katrina had ample time to repent and escape that disaster. We can't blame God for the disasters, we bring disasters on our selves. Do you think that a big thing? Wait as time goes on and you will see worse things happen, because men turn their backs on God and refuse to repent of their sins. No one desires that people perish like that, but we decide our own fate in this life.

Hhmmm........with a name like yours I wonder what you are really thinking in asking this question.
This world is not Paradise (that comes later). Our perceptions of good and bad are exactly that -- OUR PERCEPTIONS. The plan GOD has for this world and all creation is not for us to know. We are only to trust GOD, accept the life GOD has so graciously given us, and view any hardship in this life as a test. The way we react or behave during the test tells about the character we have.
Things happen - good and bad. Remember life is only a temporary situation. Enjoy it while you can.

You have a wrong perception of God and how he works in our lives.
God did not create a perfect world. In fact, God could have created a better world (St. Thomas Aquinas). God created this world "in a state of journeying." The more perfect exists alongside the less perfect. Nature has both constructive and destructive forces. Physical good will always be mixed with physical evil until creation reaches perfection.
Peace and blessings!

You cant blame God or even insinuate that because he was not there that it was as bad as it was. God is not the cause of the bad things that happen in the world today. The Bible is clear who is responsible for the bad and wicked things that happen on earth today...Rev. 12: 1-6....clearly explains.
It was VERY sad what happened and we all mourn and feel for those who suffered and died but we were made in Gods image...so if we feel that way how much more so does he feel that way...

You know, the governments and others kick God out of every aspedt of their lives and then they ask "Where was God when this happened?" How can people expect God to help them after they have denied Him?

God causes these types of things to happen. You shouldn't really question why, because God knows best. But perhaps God is trying to test us, to punish us....Allah swt knows best.
