Points would be given for animosity towards people that are just different: Gays, minorities, religious difference, political difference, race, color, and the list goes on.
Who deserves this dubious award?

are you so hateful toward Christians, I can understand that you are passionate about your beliefs, however the worst way to try to get someone to understand them is to lash out and be hateful, Christians are just trying to do what Christ taught them to do in the Bible, and that is to go and preach the gospel to every living creature, but they do not lash out in hate. I have learned that patience and tolerance are two of the most important characteristics people can have when trying to debate their beliefs.

Does this mean the people at Yahoo are unpatriotic, and do not support our military??

The Duck & the devil

There was a little boy visiting his grandparents on their farm. He was given a slingshot to play with out in the woods. He practiced in the woods; but he could never hit the target. Getting a little discouraged, he headed back for dinner. As he was walking

back he saw Grandma's pet duck. Just out of impulse, he let the slingshot fly, hit the duck square in the head and killed it. He was shocked and grieved! In a panic, he hid the dead duck in the wood pile; only to see his sister watching! Sally had seen it all, but she said nothing. After lunch the next day Grandma said, "Sally, let's wash the dishes" But Sally said, "Grandma, Johnny told me he wanted to help in the kitchen." Then she whispered to him, "Remember the duck?" So Johnny did the dishes. Later that day, Grandpa asked if the children wanted to go fishing and Grandma said, "I'm sorry but I need Sally to help make supper." Sally just smiled and said, "Well that's all right because Johnny told me he wanted to help" She whispered again , "Remember
the duck?" So Sally went fishing and Johnny stayed to help. After several days of Johnny doing both his chores and Sally's; he finally couldn't stand it any longer.
He came to Grandma and confessed that he had killed the duck. Grandma knelt down, gave him a hug and said, "Sweetheart, I know. You see, I was standing at the window and I saw the whole thing, but because I love you, I forgave you. I was just wondering how long you would let Sally make a slave of you."

Thought for the day and every day thereafter?

Whatever is in your past, whatever you have done... and the devil keeps throwing it up in your face (lying, cheating, debt, fear, bad habits, hatred, anger, bitterness, etc.)...whatever it is...You need to know that God was standing at the window and He saw the whole thing. He has seen your whole life. He wants you to know that He loves you and that you are forgiven. He's just wondering how long you will let the devil
make a slave of you. The great thing about God is that when you ask for forgiveness; He not only forgives you, but He forgets. It is by God's grace and mercy that we are
saved.

I'm trying to say that there was no theology like being saved by faith alone until Martin Luther came in the 16th cent. So, u can't say that the people in the Orthodox and Catholic Churches weren't saved before then because God wouldn't allow that. It wouldn't be Just and God is Just.

First of All--- I don't want to hear the bullcrap of any nonbelievers what-so-ever, for God is real and I know it.
And additionally, since I know Hell is real, if you don't believe in it your answer is not desired as well.

Now please anwer with complete seriousness,
If you have a sinful habbit, that you REALLY want to fix! And I mean its a habbit breaking a commandment that you have the intention of heart to fix with all your might- BUT you haven't quite fixed it as of yet, will that send you to Hell??
The scriptures clearly say that a single sin will send you to Hell and especially without Jesus. And if you accept Christ, does that mean future sins you try to fix are forgiven or no? I have (and technically still) commit adultery with my girlfriend which I sorely regret, let me tell you. I'm ashamed of it, really. I tell Jesus I REALLY want to stop and fix it, AND I am trying to. But since its not fixed yet, if I died... Would I go to Hell??

Let me just preface this by saying that I think AA is a great thing and the people involved should be thanked for agreeing to participate in it...Ok, with that out of the way, I recently went to a AA meeting because, frankly, I wanted to see what it is about...I heard some absolutely horrendous stories of things some people did in the throws of their addiction and when I left the meeting I could not help but ask myself,
"How could any honest person live with themselves knowing they were guilty of such horrid behavior?"....
So, question; if someone feels that no real fitting punishment has come their way for something they did do you think it is acceptable for them to take their own life?

There is a difference between the animal kingdom and mankind. Animals live on their instincts - hunting instincts etc and there is no law for them. Man is different to animals as they live by the law and some live as well with religious scripts - Torah, Bible and Quran. By having principles and ethics makes us different to animals. So why do certain people of a certain sect (atheists) which is not a religion say that why confine yourself to rules....... shall we live like animals and have no morals, no belief, no control, no discipline etc?

That is, as the scripture says, Pr 16:33 "The lot (dice) is cast into the lap, but its every decision is from the LORD.", the Bible seems to portray God as in control of the outcome of that which otherwise may appear as natural phenomena.

Do you view God as interacting with nature on this level, or that God isn't in control of the outcome of stochastic events?

Just replace the name Santa with God or Jesus and suddenly eureka!

You better watch out
You better not cry
Better not pout
I'm telling you why
Santa Claus is coming to town

He's making a list
And checking it twice;
Gonna find out
Who's naughty and nice
Santa Claus is coming to town

He sees you when you're sleeping
He knows when you're awake
He knows if you've been bad or good
So be good for goodness sake!

O! You better watch out!
You better not cry
Better not pout I'm telling you why
Santa Claus is coming to town

That is something I will never understand. Like this story of the boy killing this huge wildhog http://news.yahoo.com/s/ap/20070525/ap_on_fe_st/monster_pig All I could think was the poor animal has been living for so long and was part of nature, now killed and left many of its members behind. What good did that do ? The boy was so proud of his kill and for what? Human, I guess, is probably the meanest creature that God has ever created. Killing for fun and recreation ?
