7 and you can add to that list -

- Attempting to legislate what a woman can and can't do with her own body.
- Trying to get their religion placed into the public school system (intelligent design via their creation myth, prayer, and bible study classes) to indoctrinate other people's children.
- Attempting to take over the social services of this country so they can refuse help to the unconverted.
- Constantly attempting to convert the non-believers with threats and scare tactics.

1. There aren't many religions that don't claim to be the only right way.

2. Saying you don't agree with the way someone has decided to engage sexaully is not gay bashing. The Christain faith is based on love and God commands us to show love to everyone. If you consider not allowing a practicing homosexual to be a pastor or be an active member at a church to be gay bashing, you simply need to read the scriptures for yourself and you'll understand that any form of sexual immorality is against God's plan.

3. There are many other faith's that want to kill those that don't agree with their religion. God desires that no one would be lost, but that everyone would have salvation. If Christians sometimes seem pushy, it's because according to Biblical prophecy, we are living in the end times. The bible has given us His word and we are to go into the world anfd preach the gospel of Christ. But God has also given every man free will. We all are given the choice to accept or to push away God's spirit. To force someone to be a Christian makes no sense.

4. You are completely entitled to your own opinion, but it sounds like you may have read some of the Old Testament and that can be very confusing in this day in age. There is much I also don't understand, but I have faith to know that someday my mind will be opened and these mysteries will be revealed. God says in Proverbs 30:5 "Every word of God is flawless; He is a shield to those who take refuge in Him."

5. It is not willful ignorance, it is an awareness and an understanding that there is a God who might just know a little more than somthing our finite human minds can comprehend. It takes more faith to believe that the universe began with a 'Big Bang' than to believe there is a heavenly father who is so strong a mighty, that out of his love for us, he created such a wonderous and beautiful world desgned just for our enjoyment. The world is made so perfectly that even in societies that have never been told about Jesus-it is evident just from looking at creation that there was a master plan behind it. Think of the miracle of the birth of a baby! There's no way just by our human reproductive nature, we did anything to create such a miracle. No matter how hard we try, we can never engineer the complexity of a simple ant, let alone a actual human being.

6. We are trying to hold on to our religious freedoms and the right for all humans-in the womb or out of the womb to be protected and to preserve our American heritage so that it can be passed on to our children and grandchildren. We also are American citizens and have EVERY RIGHT to make our voices heard in our government. It obviously bothers people so much because their vision of an America without God can't happen when concerned believers step up and get involved.

7. Thank you for asking this questian and you'll be in my prayers.

1. The only right way - Correct! But you have to keep in mind that God said that not us.

2. Gay bashing - Incorrect. This is not something that a true Christian should engage in. While it is true that God views this lifestyle as sinful that is up to Him to rectify. Our concerns should be focused on whether or not this person has been saved or not.

3. Intolerance - Correct (partially). People love to throw the "you're not tolerant" card in our faces as if that was a bad thing. It's not. The Bible does not teach tolerance. In fact it warns against it! A Christian that tolerates that others are going to be cast into Hell because it might upset them to hear otherwise should re-evaluate their salvation experience.

4. Absurdity of the Bible - Incorrect. Unbelievers will find the Bible to be foolishness. So, you just validate what the Bible says by making such claims.

5. Promoting ignorance - Incorrect. This really amounts to a To-may-toe/Ta-mah-toe argument. Evolutionists believe as ardently in their theory despite an even larger lack of evidence than they claim Christian's have concerning God.

6. Infiltrate the government - Correct. And why not? Separation of Church and State is the largest fiction perpetrated upon the American public. Secondly only, of course, to evolution. Also, you have to keep in mind that our lives are defined by our faith (or should be). So in order to be represented fairly by our government it should be made up of a representative portion of Christians and Christian values. Other value systems are more than adequately represented already.

Christians do not "claim" anything, that is why you and all of the rest of us have the power to choose between good and evil... Its called a will... You can choose to do the wrong thing, but your time will come... Christians do not "bash" gays, you are free to be however you want, you will come to know in the end your maker, and thus will be judged. We are not "intolerant" of anyones beliefs, we actually want other types of "religions" to come to our meetings and enjoy the true meaning of God. The bible is not "absurd" as you put it but our guidebook in life and in these evil times. As of the promotion of willfull ignorance, if you want to believe humans come from monkeys and the such, again we all will meet our maker, you are free to do as you please on this earth. As for trying to infiltrate the government and our laws, i think your thinking of the Catholics, not Christians, BIG DIFFERENCE!!!

The fact that many talk the talk but don't walk the walk. That and the fact that some aspects particularly the Fundamental/Evangelical, Conservative Christian denominations tends to lead to fanaticism. You don't see Liberal Christians acting like that at all.

That they hate so vehemently anything that they or their bible disagrees with. I don't believe that hate is a christian virtue...but it appears to be maybe a requirement. I think that I would have to go for #7.

Quite honestly, it's the idea that God would send billions and billions of people to hell, for simply not believing.

That's it. That's my stumbling block with it.

Many Christians I know don't engage in the things you've listed, except for #1. So it's not most Christians I have the issue with, it's the belief system.
