With screen personality ministers and TV churches it's easy to feel the hype of obedient glory to an elevated spiritual leader like Pastor Melissa Scott, Gene Scott's widow in California.

Think about it, everyone judges to some degree. It is our nature. If you say you don't you're a liar, to some degree you do.

I read recently that, basically thanks to the Americans, there are now more obese people in the world than starving!
What do you think?

So I know at first there was adam and eve, and then they had two sons. So how did the rest of the human population come about? Did Cain or Abel have children with their mother? After all she was the only woman around, right?

LA church pastor Melissa Scott defines faith for salvation as paying her. She tells tv viewers they must pay her for prayer requests, pay for her birthday, pay to sit in the front rows, pay, pay, pay. Did God intend churches and shepherds to be so expensive? What about the poor?

Having a conversation with a good Christian friend of mine - with a literal interpretation of the Bible - we came upon the topic of whether or not punishing a child for a parent's mistake was just or not.

I posed him with this situation:

If the United States government decided that if an adult were to make a mistake (doesn't have to be specific in this situation) then the children or future children of that adult would have to suffer the same punishment - or worse - as the parent has been sentenced to. I asked, if the United States carried out with this law would it be just? His answer was no it would not!

He went on to say that God did not create sin (although I had thought the notion was he created everything) and that there was nothing God could do but follow his own law and that it WAS just because God did not create sin...

Can someone explain further their religious standpoint or maybe a justification God would have for punishing every subsequent human after Adam.

Thanks.

Not all Muslims are complaining about the restrictions in the Quran, so why are the West creating animosity by being bias towards those who choose to follow the Quran. Just because you can't control your lust, doesn't make it right in the sight of the Creator. Look at how they treat women, just like exhibits in in a meat shop. Modesty is a sin in the West, no ?

According to leaders of the cult-like religion, Tom Cruise is the new “Christ” of Scientology.

The actor has been told he has been “chosen” to spread the word of his faith throughout the world.

And leader David Miscavige believes that in future, Tom Cruise, will be worshipped like Jesus for his work to raise awareness of the religion.

A source close to the actor, who has risen to one of the church’s top levels, said: “Tom has been told he is Scientology’s Christ-like figure.

“Like Christ, he’s been criticised for his views. But future generations will realise he was right.”

Cruise joined the Church of Scientology in the ’80s. Leader L Ron Hubbard claimed humans bear traces of an ancient alien civilisation.

What do you make of this?
